I mean really think of all the guest appearances and possible spin offs we'll be robbed of Gen 13, Kamandi, Tom Strong, Promethea, Wildcats, The Authority, and Planetary, just to name a few it would be better to wait 4 or maybe six years it almost seems like they plan to kill the Arrowverse so they can free up the characters to save a DCEU on life support rather then put there energy and time on what is a thriving Arrowverse.

In terms of story-telling, they're definitely rushing into Crisis, but logistically? This may be the best way to retire some of the heroes (namely one, Oliver Queen). With the Batwoman show in production, I think the CW is definitely looking to retire some of the Arrowverse shows. My guess is if Stephen Amell is ready to hang up the Green Arrow hood, then Crisis is a good way to send him out as a hero. The fact that they teased Barry and Kara's deaths in Crisis in Elseworlds makes me think that they're going to do a twist and not kill Flash and Supergirl, but instead Green Arrow will die. This could very well be the case, especially because we know Oliver made some ominous deal with the Monitor, probably trading his life for Barry and Kara's.

I just... it makes me curious about the 2024 headline, and there's one of two theories. The first is that Barry's disappearance is actually not due to Crisis on Infinite Earths, but is related to a separate Crisis. Thus, Barry does not die in Crisis on Infinite Earths, as we all expected, due to the comics history, but will disappear in a separate Crisis in 2024. I think we all assumed it was the case that 2024 was Crisis on Infinite Earths, because of the scale as highlighted in Iris's article; she names a great deal of heroes present. While Green Arrow was named as one of the heroes in the 2024 article, but that may not be Oliver; it could very well be Emiko Queen. It feels like from the introduction of Emiko and the bleak flash forwards on Arrow that Oliver is probably dead, so Arrow is preparing for Crisis.

The second theory I have is that Nora's arrival in the past from the future, in an attempt to save her dad, but under the twisted guidance and manipulation of Thawne, ends up changing two major things in the future. The first is that Iris's pregnancy happens sooner (like she's going to find out this season), AND she's going to be pregnant with twins, as opposed to just Nora (hence, "We're gonna need more diapers")- I think this is going to be a result of Nora's time-traveling, regardless. The second is that just as Thawne ensured Barry became the Flash five years earlier than he does in the original timeline, he makes sure that Nora's trip to time has the consequence that Crisis on Infinite Earths happens sooner. Thus, instead of Crisis happening in 2024, it will happen in 2019, due to Nora's time-traveling. The further twist is that Barry's death is a fake one, and the real hero who dies is Oliver. The Flash is the CW's biggest money-spinner, and they're not going to kill Barry off permanently now. However, eight seasons is a great run for any show, and I could see the -verse ready to let Arrow go. We shall see though.

Either way, I still think they're rushing into it, for sure. It's going to be too "Arrowverse Trinity" focused, even with the Legends involved this time (I also think the CW may eye canceling Legends, solely because of the expense of that show, to make room for new DCTV shows). They may initiate Black Lightning into the crossovers, but even still, I think that in terms of story-telling, especially when the DCEU cinematic universe is a crumbling mess, it's better to expand the Arrowverse for Crisis, in addition to the shows they have, as opposed to using Crisis to retire shows and heroes to make way for Batwoman and other spin-offs.
