the chronicles of narnia Jawaban

Caution: SPOILERS.

The Last battle is based loosely on revelations in the bible so it's literally the end of the world. Everyone in Narnia dies in an epic battle against Calormen including Jill and Eustace. Then Aslan returns and calls down the stars who lead the children to Aslan's land - which is heaven. There they meet Peter, Lucy, Edmund, Digory, Polly and in the distance they spot Susan and the Pevensie parents who all died in ether a train wreak atau a house api - I'm still not sure. Narnia is reborn with all it occupants from all the stories and the children live an eternity of adventures in Aslan's land, all except susan who has forgotten about Narnia an instead lives in a heavenly England. So yes they all die but in a biblical way.

I read somewhere that Lewis told a young reader that Susan could always decide to believe in Narnia again.

At the End Of The World, Susan stops believing in Narnia, since they were told they could never go back she decided to stop believing and got too caught up in being populer and perfect in this world.

So at the End of The World, everyone dies and the whole Narnia is destoyed. But Aslan leads all the good Narnians, as well as Peter Edmund and Lucy, to a whole new Narnia even better than the first one. Where there is no evil. For when he berkata tehy would never come back to Narnia, he meant the Narnia they knew then, not the new one. Except they didn't know that of course.

And so there is a world within a world. And probably anotehr world in that one, for when that one comes to an end. They get to this world because those in Narnia were killed in a big battle and everyone died, and the others were either already dead atau dying. Peter Edmund and Lucy were in a train wreck in their real world, and though they all four died (plus their parents) only those three came back to Narnia.

As for the Last Battle being a movie, I think it will be, since they only have The Silver Chair and The Last Battle to create anyhow (they had to skip a few, after all).

Hope this helps! Any lebih pertanyaan and I can help again!:p

In a way, I'm kind of glad. I'm not sure I would like The Last Battle. It sounds really apocolyptic.

anda have to consider C.S Lewis' worldview in understanding why he wrote this ending for the Narnian Chronicles.

C.S Lewis believed in Heaven.

C.S Lewis admitted that Heaven is a much better place (!!!) than earth.

He also remembered a verse from St Paul (in the Bible) where Paul writes "Yes, I want to be in Heaven, but I know that anda - my friends - need me here on earth to help anda and encourage you. So, I know that for the moment it is important that I continue to live on earth." Read this with another verse from the Bible "Your will to live can sustain anda when anda are sick/injured, but if anda lose your will to live your last hope is gone." C.S Lewis wrote in one of his buku of theology/philosophy "We must never be ungrateful for our earthly blessings, but always remember they are but the palest copy of things in Heaven."

To Lewis, a Christian who died went to Heaven, which was a much better place than earth and so WHAT WAS THE WORRY ABOUT THIS 'DYING' THING? Lewis was trying to tampil his readers that DEATH WAS NOT/IS NOT 'THE END'. Christ has conquered death. This doesn't mean one does not physically die on earth, but it does mean that one's Eternal Self (ie the Soul as it is usually called) lives on. Where it goes after death depends on how one lived on earth.

SO - in "The Last Battle" Lewis wanted to give his good characters a happy ending that truly would last for ever and ever. To have these characters enter into Eternal Narnia (ie Heaven) IS that happy ending forever and ever.
