Captain America sat on the bar bangku with Tony as a bartender. After some time, Pepper had finally convinced Tony to let the Avengers have their halaman awal within their mansion. Each with their own rooms, and everything. Even bathrooms. Natasha rarely spent time in her room, when she wasn't on a mission, around with Pepper, atau in Clint's room. (wink wink)
Tony stared at Captain then at the clock. "Cap, aren't anda supposed to be heading over to Army Base right now?" Steve didn't answer, instead he took another gulp of scotch.
Tony sighed, Ever since Olivia sent them home, Captain never got over it. "I am supposed to tell them everyone's got a reason to cinta and survive. Stuff like that. But now how can i tell them something like that, when i don't even believe it?"
Tony yanked the glass from Steve's hand, "Cap, anda have to stop moping around and get moving. What do anda think Olivia would say to anda even like this!? anda have to pindah on! Think of all those people who are probably waiting to meet you. and then you're just gonna let those COUNTRY SERVING MEN down?! they served their country now, as anda did back then, and right now too. Go and help them!" Clint stood oleh the door, "Hm, good speech tony! Captain lets get anda ready to meet some soldiers."
Steve was in his regular civilians clothes but he has his shield oleh his side. And both Clint and Tony were with him in the car. To his dismay they came with him.
They arrived at the Army base infirmary. Clint nodded, "Yup, anda got to feel bad for these people." Captain reluctantly got them clearance into the base, and they tagged along. AS they opened the door to the infirmary a nurse ran passed them almost knocking over Tony.
A man in a uniform walked over to them, "Uh, anda must be Captain America . This way Captain, just so anda know, they are not expecting you. It is supposed to be a surprise for the Soldiers."
Captain nodded as the three were led down a thin and dark corridor. And they finally reached some doors. Inside were both men and women layed on beds some in wheelchairs others were trying to walk using crutches, others sat on the floor legs atau arms missing. Captain looked at them, the sight was very familiar. HE remembered it as it was yesterday. The soldiers began to murmur as they saw and realized who the man who just walked in the room was. HE started walking to wounded soldiers introducing and chatting. He learned about so many people's lives what things they saw in battle, and how much they really admired the captain.
Captain walked past a woman sitting on a wheelchair, with bandages over her eyes. Her hair was down and hiding her face. Captain wasn't sure if she wanted to be bothered atau not.so he walked past, suddenly the woman's head shot up and she said, "WAIT! Stop please."
Steve turned to look at her, her voice was familiar but he couldn't place it. "Yes?" asked Steve. "The woman took a deep breath, and stood up and stumbled a bit, and put her hands out to him, "Please come close, please good sir." Captain was hesitant. But did as told. He stepped closer, the woman reached for his face, and touched it. first his lips and then his cheeks and then his nose. then she touched his hair. "Captain?" asked the woman. captain responded, "Yes." The woman became excited now, "Captain! Don't anda recognize me?" The woman grasped at his kemeja fiercely. Steve backed up, "Madam i'm sorry, but anda must have me confused with, " she didn't let him finish, "Why don't anda remember, she pushed him away and fell to the floor, and clawed at the bandages on her eyes, "GET THEM OFF!" And finally she scratched them off, heaving chest, she looked up at the captain, eyes gleaming. Tears spilled down her cheeks.
"OLIVIA!" shouted Captain and sunk onto his knees to hug her. He cried as did she. Olivia sunk down as well, and hugged him back. AS she pulled back, Clint tackled her over and hugged her too, "Hey i cant miss anda either just cause Captain's already doing that?" Olivia smiled and hugged him back. Tony was last and gave her a quick peck on the cheek before allowing her to go back to Steve. Steve twirled her int the air. S he set her down, she asked, "Captain, do anda still look the same?" Steve was confused, "What?"
Olivia sighed, "Steve i'm blind after my fight with the king of my enemy he took away my invulnerability and sent me back to earth. I have lost my eyesight." Steve stared at her eyes and began crying again, "You cant see me. anda cant see me." Olivia held captain's head to her chest as he wept. "i can not only see you, i cant see anything Steve.I am forever blind."
