Sorry NO one answered anda in time, but sadly since anda asked this four years yang lalu in 2011, Andy Griffith has passed away, he died in 2012 at 80 something, I believe it was peaceful for the most part. I sure do miss him and Don Knotts. Ron ( Opie ) Howard is the only one left besides Elnore "Ellie" Walker ( Elnore Donahue) one of Andy's girlfriends he almost married.
