Just noticed a Photoshop fail on Tristania’s Beyond The Veil cover:

Ugh, are we REALLY going through another “Anette is a bitch because of something she said on Facebook that was meant to be positive but is being skewed into something negative” argument AGAIN? She was trying to respond with positivity to a group that is clearly dedicated to promoting negativity, and seeing as the group seems to look up to her, it feels like she is trying to spread that positivity to them. She has even said that she doesn’t support the hateful things they say about Floor on that page, so I don’t know why people are fussing about it. Would you rather her go on the page and tell them they are terrible people for what they are saying about Floor? That would make her no better than they are. And if she just ignored them, they would continue to be rude and disrespectful to Floor and there would be no resolution to it. At least this way she’s TRYING to do something about it. I swear, she can’t even open her mouth without people criticizing her for SOMETHING.

'Hydra' by Within Temptation remains the best album of 2014 despite being released right at the start of it. They're my second favourite band behind Evanescence so I'll admit to being a little biased but with the only releases to come that I'm slightly interested in being the next Hunger Games soundtrack and The Birthday Massacre's album (and maybe In This Moment's new album)- it's very unlikely that any release will top it this year. People who complained about 'And We Run' and the more commercial sound did not give the album a proper chance to shine although I will accept people who didn't like it for other reasons. =)


I don’t care about which vocal techniques Floor used on the new Nightwish album but I’m sure, a masterpiece is coming.


As a Christian, I am extremely disappointed that Richard Dawkins will somehow influence the new Nightwish album. Forget the evolutionary theory, if this turns out to be another atheist agenda, I doubt I’ll be supporting Nightwish anymore. I’ll listen to Within Temptation uncontrollably instead.


Such a shame that it seems like a lot of people don’t like Leaves’ Eyes. Njord, to me, is still a masterpiece of a song. And I find the latest album, Symphonies of the night, very interesting as well.


It disappoints me how some people are whining about Epica being “the same” all the time. If they changed their sound, people would complain as well. One really cannot do anything to please people. I personally much prefer that they keep their style. When I listen to Epica, I want Epica-like music, if I want something different, I’ll listen to another artist. That is what some people don’t get when they say it’s not so bad some bands “go pop”. It’s not that I hate pop, but I have pop artists I listen to when I want to. I don’t need rock/metal bands sounding popish.


That’s the most hypocritical thing you could do, cause Within Temptation is an atheist band, and have a lot of anti religion songs


I find it weird that Diabulus in Musica isn’t big at all. They released an album earlier this year, around the same time as Delain, but it got little to no exposure. They are an AMAZING band and deserve SO much more recognition than they get.


11532: I’m gonna have to stop you right there. Within Temptation is not an “atheist band”. Every source I checked will tell you the members of the band identify Christian, and some of their songs have religious meanings, but don’t take a stance on religion one way or another. Plus there are several pictures of Sharon wearing cross necklaces and such with her outfits, but I guess that’s also true of Taylor Momsen, and we all know how she feels about religion…
