Everyone is entitled to an opinion -- but i've seen fans who bitch every SINGLE week for an entire season and it's just like "why are you even WATCHING the show if you hate it so much?!"

I love every aspect of this show - even the bad parts. Without those bad things, the good things wouldn't be so awesome. But honestly, I love Dean and Sam equally. I love Cas and Bobby, and I would never say anything awful about that -like they didn't belong there because "they just don't fit" or "I just don't like them." I give all the characters a chance to prove themselves one way or another. So I'm confused when there are characters who are dismissed more easily than others simply because of how they're introduced or what they represent.

Not trying to fight. Just confused.

I mean, if you really don't like the show, get off this spot! I know not everyone likes all the same shows, but some people seem to consistently pick "It sucked" in the "Did you like this ep?" picks.

This is annoying me about a lot of spots, actually. Why do some people always feel the need to hate someone?

All I can say when it comes to character/ship wars is that I definitely regret my name now ;) it automatically pins me as one of THOSE insane, crazy, rabid fans when I really try hard not to be.

I love Dean - 9 times out of ten i'm on his side if sides need to be taken, but I also love Sam and Castiel.

(and all the other minor characters.) I think that it's alright to have a favorite - as long as you don't purposely go around bashing the character that you like less or have issues with.

Have people been fighting on here lately because i've seen alot of lovely "i'm not trying to start a fight" comments but i can't remember ever actually seeing a fight on this spot?

Haha no, this spot kind of rocks for not having drama/fights. I just. I've been on the OTH spot and I am the proud owner of an LJ ;) and shit goes down on there a lot ;D so I like to be cautious here.

People complaining about every single thing certain characters are doing. No matter how amazing things the characters does, it never seems to be good enough for the fans, and they try as hard as they can to find a way to bash and hate on the characters. This really upsets me.

^ sometimes it's just the way people feel. Like with Sam .. I understood what he was trying to do in season five but I was still pissed at him for some of the things he was doing/did to Dean. but that was my opinion and I know a lot of people had issues with how Dean treated Sam or whatever.

Supernatural is an awesome show, the best show on tv in my opinion. When ppl aren't satisfied with the episodes/seasons I feel that they should simply stop watching, no one is forcing them to watch. No one can change their episodes/seasons.

I can understand that not everyone loves the show unconditionally. But sometimes I feel like some fans are just not open minded enough. And I sometimes have a hard time seeing what it is they're so disappointed about. I know it's all a matter of opinion and everyone's entitled. And I don't want to discourage anyone from expressing a negative opinion about the show. I just sometimes honestly don't understand where they're coming from. It makes me want to debate the issue with them, but I try to bite my tongue because, like I said, they're entitled to their opinion and it is entirely subjective and I can get a little crazy when I go into debate mode. So I try not to respond to those kind of comments.

Fans who bash other characters and still hold things against them, Its like no matter what a certain character does the choice they make is the wrong one, like they are in a lose-lose situation. I can remember for 5 straight episodes the same people hammered a character for every single thing they did. I just thought to myself "They cant win for trying"

at the moment people who have to complain about every single thing in every single episode....agh...makes me so upset..I understand there are episode that are not perfect...not that Epic but complain about an entire season or about every single episode....c'mon......and also sometimes the characters wars...but just sometimes when it goes too far....

All of them really. But this one annoys me, because some people just don't except that we all have different opinions.

And fans who are never satisified?! How can they be fans if they aren't satisified?!

It deeply annoys me when some fangirl (cuz that's what she turns out to be in most cases) starts cursing me simply because I don't like Sammy and I tend to show it every chance I get. And what follows shortly after is always something like: 'och, I get that you only like swooning over Dean, who is in fact just some dumb macho, while Sam is so intelligent, kind-hearted, sensitive and sooo hot!' And then just try to point out the demon blood incident - echhh.

Fans who make up really creppy fan-fiction. i mean chill they're just characters.

I hate it when some fans allways try to prove thier bigger fans than you ... It sounds petty but , to me , it's really annoying I also hate the whose hotter questions - we ALL know sammys hotter ;) haha jks XD

It always bothers me when people start freaking out when your trying to give your opinion. They can have theirs and you can have your own as well. It bothers me the most when it comes to shippings. I am a total Wincest and Destiel fan and when people get on the pages on here and go "eww that's so wrong" why the heck did you get on the page then. What a waste of time if all your going to do is put people down.

I have never really seen or read a shipping/character war I'm sure it would be slightly entertaining to watch/read but might get old after awhile.

And if your going to complain about every episode or season or whatever then why the heck are you watching the show, if your complaining then you obviously don't like it.

And not only that, but when they try to force their opinion on others..."Dean is so much better than Sam because he does this and this and this and this and yadda yadda YADDA, while Sam is a little blagh and he did this to poor Dean and blah blah blah so I'm right and you're wrong so why are you a Sam fan when you KNOW what he did was wrong and blah blah..." SHUT. UP. ALREADY. I'm a Samgirl and that is NOT going to change, so stop trying to tell me how much better Dean is! I REFUSE TO CONVERT TO DEANISM. XD

i haven't really had a problem with any fan of SPN. Being a Samgirl at the most i might argue with fellow Samgirls about who's gonna marry jared, but then we just conspire to get rid of Genevieve...
i guess the only real issue i've ever come across was like... the anti-samgirls. Yes they exist, and it's weird. They're convinced he's evil and if you don't agree you're going to hell...

I do not even know what I pick anymore but I hate that people pick on the show and the eps and the season come on there good. and the character it suck I did like all of them cas,sam,and dean but I am kind off pissed of with dean ever sents season 4 and there is meny resons why for treating sam the way he did and just stuff that I do not what to say because I get dean girls mad at me sorry I am a sam girl all the way it hard to say anything bad about sam or dean or even cas now I hate him and I did like him I think thats how this show works your mad at one of them for doing something bad and love them for doing something great.

Specifically, the overly-obsessive Dean-fans who hate on Sam for everything he does, and don't even notice when Dean later has a similar story line which obviously was written as a deliberate parallel. For example, those who hate on Sam for criticising Dean's decision to trick him into being possessed by Gadreel as a means of saving him, then hate on Sam again for removing the Mark behind Dean's back (I know it's an example set many seasons after this poll, but it's the most obvious I can think of). I guess the "fans who hate anyone with a different opinion" option is similar.

I haven't come across many ship wars. Since SPN isn't really that ship-focused canonically/it doesn't have love triangles like other programmes, the fans are more likely to just state who they ship and then talk about something else if they disagree. Similarly, I haven't come across many "fans" who continually hate on all episodes/seasons/the writing in general.
