I think he is more obsessed with hunter at this point because of his obsession to get Lilith.

i also think that dean hunts for 2 reasons one with that he truelly wants to help people and 2 because it's been his life for so long he doesn't know how to do anything else :)

I agree with RiceCakes- Sam's driven to find Lilith. Dean right now is driven to save people so that he can redeem himself. So they're both pretty obsessed with it, just for different reasons.

agree with fanfly. But i guess dean had it pretty hard when he came back from hell, i guess he start to realise what he's got and that just sammy, even if the angels are asking to stop lilith from breaking all the 66 seals, dean is still not doing anything and Sam is so obsessed with lilith.

there has been some obvious change...dean cares about life more than he used to.. he always did but it's just tht he cares a lot LOT more now :) sam is going the opposite way...he used to care for evrythng evry1 now he cares but only in his own obsessed way...and pretty soon he will have only his obsession just like gordon did before he got killed

I agree with most of what has already been said. Sam is antsy, sick of wasting time, and knows he has the powers to do some good. I'm just wondering if he's thought much about that "slippery slope" - does he think he can keep himself from going darkside, or is he fully aware of the danger but still feels he HAS to do something about Lilith? I think Dean definitely wants to save more people, but he is also stalling on having to make the decision to support Sam or stop him. Wouldn't want to be either of them!

Wow this question is 2 years old lmao but even in season 6 i think Sam is still obsessed more then dean with hunting
