Because he was at the actual right age and he nailed Spider-Man's mannerisms. I also enjoy Andrew Garfield's performances. But damn it, Tobey's such a whiner as Peter Parker yet he plays a good Spider-Man.

Tom Holland is the best actor suitable for Spider-Man's role, and I'm so very glad that he's acting in the upcoming movie Spider-Man Homecoming. Tom looks cute, too ;)

It was a close struggle, but Andrew hit the right chord with me. He made Spider-Man fun again, and goddammit are we allowed to have fun every once in a while!

Toby Macguire is the one and only Peter Parker.

Tom Holland is the only one that is actually the right age to pass as spiderman.

He is just great and actually acts like a teenage boy, which the others didn't. I really loved Garfield too, loved his arrogance, because that really was Spider-Man. Looking back at it, the less Spider-Man one really was Maguire.

While I like that Tobey Maguire's films seemed to play up the "With great power comes great responsibility" mantra that IS Spider-Man, those movies seemed to forget that Peter Parker was inside of Spider-Man. There is a snarky, sometimes silly, always funny boy, later man, inside of Spider-Man.

I really liked Andrew's more arrogant portrayal of Spider-Man. It may have been a little too cocky, but that felt more real to me. I mean, if any of the teenage boys I've known throughout my life were suddenly given the powers that he was, I'm sure at least 89% of them would have acted like Andrew's Spider-Man did, even after learning the mantra the hard way. There's just something about teenagers...

Tom Holland's portrayal was great. I liked it, but it also feels a little hollow. Like there's room to grow that's required before I love this character fully. I have no doubt that if utilized properly, I will end up like Holland's Spider-Man best of all in the coming years. However, for now, Garfield is my winner.

I felt that Toby was the most iconic and memorable live-action Spiderman for me, considering how much I enjoyed the trilogy that he was featured in, but I also really enjoyed Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland's performances too since they were very entertaining
