Three weeks after the link finale Lois (Erica Durance) comes back to the present in a flash of light she is seen on board a moving train. Chasing her is an unidentified female assassin appearing also on the train with the same flash of light. Tragedy strikes as the train is derailed from its tracks but Clark comes in to save the day.

He is the founder of LuthorCorp and acted as Chairman and CEO until recently. He has connections with the criminal underworls through his best friend, morgan Edge. Lionel Luthor is the father of three sons, however one of his sons died as an infant.

Lionel graduated summa cum laude with a chemistry degree from Princeton universitas and has two PhDs in biochemical engineering and macroeconomic modeling from Yale University.
