"Shadow! Shadow! Where are you?!" Rouge the Bat was calling the black hedgehog. Little to her knowledge, Shadow is somewhere were no one from the outside can reach him.
Shadow was lying, face down, in what looked like a rotten town. He looked around but saw only dense fog too thick to see through. He clambered into a kneeling position, turning his head, trying to see anything which could give him a clue on where he is. Shadow had been having strange dreams for the past few weeks, the most baru saja ending in the words written across a dinding like blood, COME TO SILENT HILL. Shadow used Chaos Control just before so he could battle Sonic the Hedgehog for the blue Chaos Emerald, but he instead came here. Was this place Silent Hill? Shadow thought. He spotted a large mouldy rotting sign in the distance and walked up to it. In large wooden letters spelt the words: Welcome to Silent Hill. Shock flooded Shadow. "No..." He whispered to himself. "This is impossible." But he slowly regained control of himself. "It doesn't matter how I got here. I just need to find a way out." So Shadow set off, to no particular location. lebih than once, he thought he saw an outline of someone moving in the fog but when he turned to look again, whatever was there disappeared. Refusing to be frightened of some old town, Shadow continued on. This time, something was definetly moving in the ahead of him, not far from him. Shadow stood in a fighting stance, but got up properly as he saw a familiar silhouette. "What are anda doing here, faker?!" Shadow yelled. As the silhouette came in full view, Shadow realised it wasn't Sonic, but a figure that looked like him. It had dense dark bulu covering all of its body, pupil-less eyes, no mouth and where his hands should have been, there were only bloody stumps as though they had been cut off. Shadow gasped at the sight of it. He launched himself at it, attempting to Chaos Spear its head but he underestimated it. With a cepat, swift movement, the monster sprouted a third, hand-less arm from its chest and swiped Shadow across the face. Dazed, but still determined, Shadow got off the ground and, in his fury, did Chaos Blast. Everything in its vicinity was blown apart. The monster's head, arm and some liquid coming from it, all crawled away to the dark fog and out of sight.
"What WAS that?" Shadow wondered aloud.
"Something beyond any of us." A soft voice answered him. Shadow turned and saw a human girl with shoulder length hair and peircing blue eyes. "Judging from the fact that the monster tried to kill anda just then, I'd say your not one of them. Come. We are not aman, brankas here." She walked off into the fog while Shadow followed. No one spoke until they reached a lightened basement which was obviously the place the girl stayed.
"You haven't told me what that thing is." Shadow pointed out.
"The monsters are incarnations of people anda know, friend atau foe. The monsters take the shape of anyone whom anda know and turn them into something ghastly, as anda just witnessed." The girl explained with fear in her voice. "I'm Marian oleh the way."
"I'm Shadow." He grunted.
