Chapter 2

“Stranger explain yourself, why do anda barge in unannounced into a person’s home?”

Kagome just froze, and stared back at the familiar face, a face she knew so well. A face she both loathed and perhaps even a little feared, about a face for whom she had also an ilking of sympathy towards believing she was the living dead. And yet, Kikyo stepped forwards her eyes cold and narrow glaring almost threatening at her. “Explain yourself, and why is it anda claim to know me?”

A icy chill rose up Kagome’s spine chilling her to the bone. This was Kikyo that was addressing her, she should be the one saying this to her, why are anda here… leave, anda no longer live here your dead go… her thought ended there.

“But Kikyo it’s me Kagome, remember Inuyasha…”

“So anda know inuyasha do you?” the priestess asserted, cutting her off in mid speech.

What? Kagome had the urge to speak out when from behind a detik familiar voice entered the hut, one she knew perhaps even better then she knew her own. It was Inuyasha.

“Alright what’s going on here,” he stated straight out. At once Kagome spun around, the biggest smile of relief crossing her face, yes inuyasha he’s here, now this will be all straightened out, “Inuyasha!” she called out but in the instant she caught his eye she flinched and drew back. Recoiling at once. inuyasha his eyes, they never looked at me like that what’s going on?

“Hey Kikyo, this girl a friend of yours?”

“I was about to ask anda the same thing, she claims to know me. Though I have never met her but she also claims to know you. Is there any truth to this?”

inuyasha examined the girl before him; he even sniffed at the air in his common way of identifying someone, and answered, “No I never met her.”

Kagome felt her jantung freeze and her flesh was coated with ice. She went cold, very cold, “but Inuyasha, anda don’t know me… I don’t understand… what…”

“You know that makes two of us,” but then he looked again, at Kagome and then at Kikyo. “Hey anda wouldn’t happen to be relatives are you?”

Kikyo narrowed her eyes even more, “Inuyasha I already told anda I do not know this girl, that I’ve never met her. If she was a relative I would have introduced anda to her.”

“ah right,” and he turned away, folding his arms up upon his chest the way he does when suddenly feeling a moment of discomfort.

Kagome was shocked, this was unreal, the reality of it just wouldn’t sink in, the very possibility of what could be happening not occurring to her, that was until a third person arrived. And before her a young girl enters the hut, she appeared to be about ten years old dressed in priestess garb.

“what’s going on, the villagers were saying a demon came to the village today is that true big sister?”

‘No Kaede, there are no demons here, their confusion was a false alarm. This girl however is our visitor, and she is no demon, however she is clearly not a normal human.”

The little girl stared up at Kagome and once their eyes met, Kagome panicked, Lady Kaede? The selanjutnya thing she knew she was running. Bolting from the door, she may even have torn the matt that covered the entrance, but couldn’t stay to say she was sorry.

Kikyo was there and she was alive, and what was worse Inuyasha, the man that had won over her heart, and she knew he did, doesn’t know her. His eyes didn’t even acknowledge her; he did not look at her in the way she had grown so accustomed. He did not look atau feel loving towards her, she just felt cold. Like an icy dagger jabbed through the heart, so she ran, and just had to get out of there.

She knew she had to get back to the well. This was wrong, something went wrong. She shouldn’t be there. This was too wrong. Knowing that once she returned to the well and returned to her own time everything would be alright she would leap through and return to the feudal era and inuyasha would be there waiting for her as she had expected him to be, and all would be well.

But as she ran a villager saw her and jutted out in front of her with his arms stretched out to his sides. He was a large man, and in the instant he appeared she startled. She did not expect this and darted to the side to get around him but he caught her oleh the arm. The sudden snag threw her off balance and she fell towards him twisting her arm at the shoulder, as she did, and she gasp in pain before hitting the ground.

The selanjutnya instant inuyasha landed down in his bare feet before her. So often he would come to her rescue in the very same manner, and always in haste tampilkan his concern and cursing at the enemy ready to defend, but this time there was no enemy. She was simply mistaken, this she understood. They thought she was a demon atau an enemy, a spy as they had when she first arrived in the past months ago. The very same hari she met inuyasha for the first time and freed him from the sacred tree.

“Ah good anda caught her, well that’s a relief at least I don’t have to do all the work around here if not Kikyo.” The voice was Inuyasha’s, the words wee his, but weren’t words that like anything she knew. He never spoke so coldly of her, not even when they first met. The sound of it sent shivers down her spine… it’s because Kikyo is still alive, he doesn’t need her.

He doesn’t need her, so he doesn’t care.

Her arm hurt, the joint felt twisted and out of place. She grabbed at the pain and tried not to whimper. Curling up into a little ball on the ground knowing that with inuyasha there was no way she could escape. She was caught. The only thing left to do is convince them she was not a threat and try to get along until she could reach that well.

“You have her, very good.” berkata Kikyo as she came waking up.

Kagome just hid her face.
