Unfortunately, it was just a false alarm, Scotty McCreery is not working on a holiday album quite yet! Instead, the country singer will be joining fellow Idol alums Lauren Alaina and Kellie Pickler in taping the 'CMA Country natal Special' on November 10th!

The two-hour televisi special, hosted oleh Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles, will air at 8:00 Eastern Time on ABC on December 1, 2011!

Other scheduled performers are Rascal Flatts, Vince Gill and Amy Grant, Little Big Town, Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Brad Paisley, Sugarland, Darius Rucker, Keith Urban, and Brian Setzer who will be performing natal songs and 'sharing personal holiday traditions'.

Tickets for the show, which is being taped a few weeks prior to the televised event, are $25 for general admission upper level seating and $50 for general admission club level. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster, 1-800-745-3000.

Scotty McCreery Documentary Coming In October!

GARNER -- When Scotty McCreery returned halaman awal last bulan to perform in the "American Idol" concert, a Nashville film crew was on hand to shoot footage for a documentary on the young singer.

The film will air on the Great American Country cable channel in October.

Both Idol stars have formally entered the country fray, with McCreery’s single “I cinta anda This Big” and Alaina’s “Like My Mother Does” out at country radio and on iTunes. “I cinta anda This Big” made its debut at No. 32 on Billboard‘s Hot Country Songs chart, the highest country debut for a new artist’s first single in modern chart history. In spite of that, neither teen sees success as ensured. Both are at the beginning of a process.

Scotty puts songs through the "Mama Crying Test"

Scotty McCreery is finishing his ‘American Idols Live’ tour later this bulan as he preps to release his debut CD ‘Clear As Day’ on October 4th.

Scotty explains that the album will feature some “Rockin songs where they will be loud and upbeat and then some intimate songs…some of them will make anda cry.” Scotty also explains that one factor in deciding a few of the songs were helped oleh his Mom’s reaction.

“Mama cried on a couple of them so we told all the guys to label them, when they sent me songs and demos I would email them back and say….Well it passed the Mama crying test so it must be a good one.”

Scotty is hoping that Mama knows hit songs as he expresses that he hopes the feeling becomes mutual to the fans.

“Hopefully it will have the same effect on anda guys out there.”

Scotty and the other Idol finalist will complete the ‘Idols Live Tour’ on September 20th with a tampil in Quezon City, Philippines.

Keith Urban Pitches Song for "Clear As Day"

In a baru saja interview with the Boston Globe, Scotty McCreery reveals that there is "technically going to be one cover" that makes its way onto his debut album, Clear As Day, which is set to be released in October.

Scotty was kind enough to share that one already populer country bintang may be playing gitar on a track:

Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina lead the American Idol pack in sales this week, and Friday's Good Morning America appearance should only help their sales going forward. Scotty's Walmart EP sold 17,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan, bringing its total to 119,000. This season's puncak, atas finishers were two of the six Idols in this week's Billboard 200.

It's been a long journey since last tahun when I auditioned for American Idol, and you've been with me every step of the way. That's why I wanted anda to be the first to know the details of my debut album. After all of the hard work over the last year, I am excited to tell anda that my album, Clear As Day, will be released on Oct. 4 on Mercury Nashville/19 Recordings/Interscope.

Millions of fan are anxiously awaiting the first album from Scotty McCreery, and the 'American Idol' winner is working tirelessly to give them just what they want to hear.

American Idol champ Scotty McCreery recently revealed that he'd be covering a Keith Urban song on his new album, but didn't say which one. Until now.
"That's been the big mystery," Scotty acknowledges to CountryWeekly.com. “‘What song is Scotty singing?’”

In 1997, pre-solo success, Keith was a member of trio The Ranch; the band released the single “Walkin’ the Country,” which reached No. 50 on the Billboard country singles chart. Now, Scotty will include the song on his upcoming debut album, Clear as Day, which will be released Oct. 4.

Idol Winner McCreery Bows with nearly 200k, #1 Debut, as Rodney Atkins, Feist, Jack's Mannequin Score puncak, atas 10 Bows

Scotty McCreery has proven a worthy American Idol winner. Celebrating his 18th birthday last Sunday (10/9), the good ole young boy from a small town in North Carolina debuts at #1 as his first studio effort, Mercury Nashville/19/Interscope’s Clear as Day, sells 198k in its first week.

That’s the most for an American Idol winner since David Cook’s debut sold 280k in Nov. 2008, and the first champ to bow at #1 with his initial release since detik season champ Ruben Studdard’s Soulful topped the chart in 2003.
