Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Sailor Moon Crystal: "Act 14 - Conclusion and Commencement, Petite Etrangere" Review
This was it. The final, final, final battle between Queen Metalia and the Sailor Guardians! The entire series was building up to this very moment. So how was Act 14?  Well... it was pretty good. But not for the reasons I had anticipated.
Ironically, the end fight with Queen Metalia felt like the weakest part of the episode. Very little happened other than Sailor Moon doing a whole lot of praying, and then using the power of prayer to blast Metalia into oblivion. No real action. No assist from the Sailor Guardians. No punches thrown by Tuxedo Mask. It was just Sailor Moon using her new Moon Stick at maximum power, then collapsing from exhaustion. It wasn\'t terribly exciting to watch. (Though I did enjoy the music. It was a cool mix of rock and classical that gave the fight some much-needed oomph.)
Sailor Moon Crystal - Why We\'re in Love With Sailor Moon Crystal
The strength of this episode lied in what happened
Queen Metalia went bye-bye. It was great watching Mamoru bring Usagi back from the brink with true love\'s kiss (so romantic!), and I teared up when Usagi used her new brooch  (a gift from Queen Serenity) to revive her friends. There was some really lovely art direction sprinkled into these scenes, including a nice shot of the restored Moon Kingdom and a beautiful shot of Tokyo Bay at sunrise.
The best part of the episode however was the crazy cliffhanger at the end. Even having read the manga and watched the 90\'s show, the arrival of Chibiusa still felt like a jarring surprise: one minute Mamoru and Usagi are sharing a kiss in the park, the next Usagi is being held at gun point by a pink-haired girl with a floating cat head.
Definitely not something one would expect, which makes me want to watch the next episode right now just to see what happens.

Though the final fight with Queen Metalia was anticlimactic, I did enjoy watching Usagi reunite with her friends, share heartfelt moments with Mamoru, and get held up by a crazy five year-old. I also liked the art direction, which was pretty strong this week. Act 14 may not be my favorite episode of the series, but it had some nice moments, and it did a good job setting up what will surely be a zany second season.
This week Sailor Moon defeated Queen Metalia, then got held up by a five year-old.  RT
