Ok so this is just Peetas point of view in the Hunger Games. Hope anda like.

I hate this day. They think its a good day, well there wrong. The Capital always thinks its a good day. There not the ones who have to participate. Its Reaping Day. I know they do this just to remind us who's boss. But one day, someone is going to have to stand up, someday someone it going to have to say enough. If my name is reaped today, that's exactly what I am going to do. Even of it will get me killed. I had enough of the Capitols games, just enough. Ive seen my friends die in the Hunger Games, but no more. Its just to painful to watch.
My best friend, Jake, was reaped just last year. We have been friends sense kindergarten. He didn't even make it to the puncak, atas 15 tributes when he died. The Careers wanted him, because he was good with a spare, but he rejected them. They killed him in the arena. He was the tenth one to die.
I was sitting down in the dapur with my family. We are bakers. anda may think that we are well feed because of what we do, well your wrong. We'll be lucky enough to get a loaf of roti a month. We cant eat the ones freashly cooked. Its our mother rule. "Customers first." She always says. If she catches us take even a crumb, she beats us. I don't know why my father married her. She wasn't pretty. No where close to pretty. She ware a yellow flowered dress, as she always dose on reaping day, and matching yellow shoes. If she thinks she looks pretty, shes wrong. Her hair was done in a thight tagihan, dun and she had a big hairy tahi lalat on her cheek.
There was a knock on the door. My father and I got up at the same time. When my father answered, I saw Gale. He and Katniss did a lot of trading with us, but never this early. He asked what he needed to trade for a loaf of dread.
"Just one tupai will be fine." My father says
"That's all?" Gale asks
"Yes. Peeta, can anda go and get our freshets loaf please?" My father asks
"Sure." I say and headed back to our kitchen. I took the loaf out of the oven. My mother asked who was at the door.
"It was Gale. He wants to trade a squirrel." I say
"Just one! He needs to give us lebih for a freshly made loaf of bread." Mother says
"I am doing what father asked me." And I lefted and gave the loaf to Gale and he gave me a squirrel.
"Thanks Peeta." Gale says
"No problem." I say
Gale and I have never really been friends. We never talk unless we trade. Same with Katniss. But most of the time my mother and father do the trading. As I lefted the frount door I heard my father say "Good luck Gale. To anda and Katniss." And he was gone.
My father cleaned the tupai while my mother and I decorated some kue, cookie and cakes for the Hunger Games. The Peacekeepers like to buy them after the reaping. They always have parities with their family and friends. Soon it was one O'clock and it was time to go to the Time Square.
I didn't dress up for the reaping. Never really cared to. I just ware my black t-shrit and some pants that was covered in flower. I was cramded in with my age group,16. My name was going to be in the glass ball 20 times because of the tresurea.
When the clook struck two. The Mayor took the podium. He talked about how Panem became to be. How it was once North America. What happened to it. Then explained the Hunger Games rules. Its quite simple really. Two people from each district go into the arena, so 24 in all. They fight to the death and the one that comes back alive wins. There use to be 13 districts but when there was an uprising between all the districts, 12 was betten but the 13 th was blown into oblivion. Then the Mayor read the the names of the past victors. Only one of the two and one still alive. Haymitch Abernathy. As if on que he stumble up the stairs. He was drunk. He worked his way to the microphone and took it from the Mayor
"I-i am just so honered to be here. Now I just wanna- wanna say that- that, ummm, I forgot. Blaaaaaa, haha." And he fell in his seat.
"Um, Effie Trinket everyone!" The Mayor said.
"Thank anda Mr. Mayor. And Happy Hunger Games to everyone and May the odds be ever in your favor!" Effie. Says
Silence
"Ok Ladies first!" Effie dug her hand down deep in the girls ball. I was just hoping it wasn't Katniss. Effie smoothed out the slip of paper she pulled from the ball and berkata "Primrose Everdeen!" Oh no! That was Katnisses sister. I looked over and saw Katniss run at Prim.
"Prim!" She struggled through the crowd "Prim!" Katniss yelled again "I volunteer!" No! "I volunteer as tribute!" Oh God no! How could this happen. not Katniss. Please!
I was to shocked to do anything.
