My opinion : I disagree. Yeah Lucas and Peyton weren't here but Mark decided not to mention Lucas and Peyton anymore which is bad. I hate some references to them that are irrelevant (for ex : Peyton can't be at Brooke's wedding because Sawyer is sick, REALLY ???). To me, Lucas was always a good friend to Haley and the fact that the character isn't here anymore doesn't make him a bad friend. To me, Lucas and Peyton were still there even though we didn't see it on screen.

^agree! I think Lucas not staying in touch was just bad writing because both LP not staying in touch with all their friends is beyond ooc.

This was purely Mark's fault ,just because we never saw Haley reading a letter that Lucas has sent or them talking on the phone (same goes for Breyton/Paley -except one phone call if i recall-) it doesn't mean it didn't happen.

I disagree mainly because I would've made him interact with the other characters in s9, and make him stay a few episodes!

The thing about Lucas not writing or calling was just bad writing. I don't believe for one second that Lucas. You know, the WRITER, would not write to Haley, of all people.
