End of Chapter 8
Michael threw the blankets into the bin and was running at me as I realized that I was falling with my hand out, just like in my dream. I was bracing myself for the impact, waiting for the snapping sound when I felt strong hands membungkus, bungkus around me and pull me up. I looked over and saw that Michael had picked me up like in the dream, holding me close against him.
"I guess I have to keep anda safe." He berkata as he smiled at me.
"Sorry." I berkata as I blushed and looked away.
"Let's get anda up to the house." He berkata as he started walking.
"Oh, I can walk." I berkata as I looked at him his eyes inches away from mine.
"I think we better not tempt fate." He berkata as he smiled, his red lips closer then I realized. "Maija?" He asked as he stopped and looked down at me.
"Oh, sorry." I said, blushing as I stopped thinking about his lips, and how soft they looked.
"Are anda ok?" He asked as he adjusted the way he was carrying me and ran a finger across my forehead.
"Yeah, sorry. I had strange dreams, I think I'm just tired. anda can put me down if anda want." I said, not wanting this to happen.
"I don't want to." He berkata as he smiled and marched up to the house, staring into my eyes the entire time.
Chapter 9
I heard the door open, and no matter how much I wanted to I could not look away. I found myself staring into yellow eyes that were the color of sunflowers in the summer. The lighter yellow on the side, transitioning into emas then black where his iris was.
"Maijalissa, where have anda been?" My aunt Jan asked as she stomped over to where Michael was standing, still holding me tightly against his chest.
"Umm...what?" I berkata as I looked away from his eyes and tried to focus on my aunt.
"Where have anda been?" Jan said, hands on her hips...which made her look almost exactly like my mother.
"Michael, please put me down." I berkata as I looked up at him, realizing that it was really hard for me to focus when he was this close.
He sighed and looked down at me before gently setting me down on my feet. I noticed that he didn't step back and that his hands moved up and down like he was unsure what to do with himself.
"Maija," My aunt warned.
"I went out to the stables, I was overwhelmed and knew that Piper and Concho were the only ones who would be able to calm me. I made sure they were all tucked in for the night and laid down, just to rest and ended up falling asleep. I probably would still be down there if Michael hadn't come in and woke me up."
"And why were anda down there?" Maxine's voice called as she walked in behind us, closing the door behind her.
"Jan and Carol sent me to find Maija, they were concerned that she didn't come home." He berkata softly.
"Michael Alexander, outside....now." Maxine said, her temper quick to anger. I heard Michael sigh again as he reached out and ran his hand down my arm before walking out of the house.
"Well...it seems anda have an admirer." Carol berkata as she walked over and hugged me. "I'm sorry we didn't come looking for anda sooner, we knew anda would be overwhelmed."
"Yes, we apologize for not looking harder." Jan said, a secret smile spreading across her face.
"Am I in trouble, if not I would really like a shower...I smell like kuda and dirt." I berkata as I mencium my shoulder.
"No anda are not in trouble, but I need anda to understand one thing." Jan berkata as she stepped closer and put one hand on my shoulder. "There are lebih people coming today, please try to be patient with them."
"I will try." I berkata as I hugged her and trudged up the stairs.
I walked into my room, falling onto my tempat tidur as I thought of the way my arm felt when Michael ran is hand down it. The way that I seemed to get lost as I looked into his eyes, and the way his arms felt while he was carrying me up the hill.
I sat up, laughing at myself as I imagined my friend Clair telling me I needed to "FOCUS!" I wished she were here, that I could tell her everything that had happened. I sighed as I realized that that was something that could never happen. I could NEVER tell anyone about what I had learned today, could never tell them about my aunts and their friends.
I stood up and walked over to my closet, thumbing through a few outfits until I decided on a pair of blue jeans and a wine colored shirt. I had worn dresses the last few days and honestly I wanted nothing lebih then to be comfortable. I was just about to turn and walk into the bathroom when I heard Maxine's voice through my open window.
"You need to keep your distance." Her hard voice said. "This is not helping her, anda were suppose to keep away."
"I can't, I..."
"Don't anda dare say anda need her. anda don't know her, anda can't believe everything that those people tell you." She said.
"Yes mother, I will try." Michael berkata and even though I was a floor above them I could hear the sorrow in his voice...the sorrow that I was feeling as well.
I felt a tear slip down my cheek as I thought about not being able to see him anymore. I realize that I had just met him yesterday, but.. there was something there..something that felt right. I sniffled loudly and quickly wished I hadn't when I heard both of them pindah a little bit, and they stopped talking. I wanted to pindah to the window to see if they were looking up, but knew it wasn't necessary..they were looking for me knowing I had heard everything.
I turned as fast as I could grabbing my clothes as I ran into the bathroom, slamming the door behind me as I locked it. I felt a few lebih tears slide down my face as I undressed and stepped into the shower, the hot water relaxing me instantly. I took one of the shortest showers I had ever taken since I knew that people would be waiting for me. I dressed quickly and finally turned to deal with my hair. I put all the product I could find in it, eventually grumbling because it wouldn't do what I wanted it to. I brushed my teeth and put on my minimal makeup before turning and opening the door. I was surprised to see Celest sitting on my bed, sniffing the air as I walked into the room.
"It smells lie a....barn in here." She berkata as she wrinkled her nose.
"I slept with my kuda last night." I berkata softly.
"Oh, well that explains it."
"Sorry." I berkata as I walked over and threw my dirty clothes into my basket.
"Your aunts want anda to come down when anda are ready, there are many........'people' waiting." She berkata as she grinned evilly.
"Great." I berkata as I hung my head.
"And for what I heard, anda don't want to keep Michael waiting." She teased as she stood up and walked over and patted me on the back.

'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
'Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!'
He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought --
So rested he oleh the Tumtum tree,
And stood a while in thought.
And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!
One two! One two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.
'And hast thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
Oh frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.
'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
