Simon Cowell and One Direction\'s Louis Tomlinson are pretty much besties these days, hanging out at X Factor judges\' houses at the weekend and apparently teaming up to find the next big girlband in their free time. 

But now Uncle Si and little Luigi could be about to take their relationship to the next level with god as their witness. NO, you won\'t be seeing Louis in a white veil any time soon, but Simon might just end up being Godfather to his and Briana Jungwirth\'s baby. 

It sounds like Simon is totally up for changing stinky nappies, singing soft lullabies and filling up milk bottles whenever Louis is away on tour from the bebeh, because he\'s admitted that he\'d LOVE to be a godparent.

Chatting about the future Tomlinson/Jungwirth spawn, Simon first dished out of all of his best fatherly advice, and then told USA Today that he totally hopes to be a godfather if Louis fancies it.

"If he asks, I\'ll do it in a heartbeat," Simon said. "I haven\'t formally been asked yet, but if he asks me it would be my pleasure." 

Simon\'s cute li\'l comment comes after some equally adorable rumours emerged earlier this week, suggesting that Louis has already decided that Uncle Si was the best man for the job. Err, we\'re guessing Briana\'s alright with that too. 

A secret source told HollywoodLife: "Louis has made his decision and it\'s 100 per cent Simon. He wants Simon to be his child\'s godfather. 

\'Simon has had such an influence on him and he says Simon is a brilliant person and a brilliant father... He has made it clear that he is there for Louis if he has any questions or concerns about fatherhood.

Well it\'s always going to be pretty handy growing up with Simon Cowell as your godfather, isn\'t it? Not only would your pocket money be about a million pounds a week, but he could also give you a Saturday job as a popstar, which is slightly better than a paper round.
