My mom once got sick of me reading a book while I was doing my homework, so she hid it in the only place she knew I wouldn't look - the oven. Unfortunately, she didn't tell my dad... and the book was burnt to a crisp.

that is crazy!.......though i was blamed for damaging 1 but it was the person who checked it out be4 me.....and i got 20 dollars from the library!!!

No. I have never. But my dad has. Read comment on "Have you ever lost a library book?" Strangely enough that not the most embarassing thing to happen to me because of my father. I could tell you stories. Most of the you won't believe. Shit, I don't believe some of them and they've happened to me!

Nope, well one time my sister ripped out one page in my Thanksgiving Baby-Sitter's Club book. I sobbed. I also read a lot in the bathtub. Kind of funny. When I read instead of homework my Mom also takes my book away! No fair!

Hysterically earlier in the day I had been talking about how my dog wasn't a big chewer (at least not on things he shouldn't chew) I get home that night and lo and behold he had chewed up a library book
