I’ll always remember that day. That hari was on May 2nd 2010, and on that hari I went down to Glasgow to go and see my favourite singer La Roux live (over the past tahun I have developed this unrealistic fascination for her, I’m her biggest fan. I scream every time I see her. I just cinta this Electro-Pop singer.) A lot of people pick on me and make fun of me because I cinta her so much (I’ve been to see her live before and I’m getting really upset people are judging me because I am going to see her again). So this is my detik time going to see her live in Glasgow, she doesn’t come to Aberdeen so we have to go down to Glasgow. I went with my dad for the first time, it was my very first time being to a konser before and I was really excited about it to. I went with my dad the first time and I ended up not exactly having the best time (I got really upset with dad at the end and he got annoyed at me too so that just kind of spoilt the whole night for me. Even though she was amazing to watch).
I remember that straight after the first one that I really wanted to go to her selanjutnya konser in Glasgow again. Lucky for me it didn’t take a lot of convincing for them to let me go again. (I can be useful at times). We managed to get the tickets oleh December last tahun but I asked in November. Waiting, and waiting for over six months to go down to Glasgow to see her again. Dad was supposed to come up with mum and I, we were going to take the train down but Dad never came up to see me for some reason. I don’t get to see him often and I really wanted him to be there with mum and me. But I really didn’t want to ruin my hari like last time after waiting months for it to come.
The train journey down there took about three hours and thank god it didn’t get delayed! Mum had to sit selanjutnya to this stranger and I sat opposite, listening to my iPod the whole way there and back. Just listening to La Roux for hours on end. (I’m always happiest listening to her music. It puts a massive smile on my face whenever I’m feeling down). After we got off the train, mum and I tried to find a taxi because we didn’t know where our hotel was. After finding a taxi it literally took two menit to get to the hotel (we could have just walked if we knew where we were going).
We got into the hotel and we got our key, went upstairs and mum and I were struggling to get the key to open the door. We tried like 60 times, and we got in eventually. Then mum wanted to change rooms because there was like a house party going on near oleh and anda could hear the musik from our hotel room. So after all that we switched rooms. Finally I got to relax! (YAY) but I still needed to get ready for going down o the 02 Academy. The whole time we were in the hotel I was texting all my friends telling them what I was doing (it got kind of boring after a while).
oleh now it was probably about 5.30pm and the doors opened at 7.00pm and I wanted to be early because I really wanted to get to the front to see her. Mum was trying to find somewhere for us to eat but most f the places opened at 6, and I wanted to be in the queue oleh that time. We decided to finally leave it and go down to the 02. There was this hot dog stand right beside the venue. We just got a plate of chips and stood in the queue for and jam atau so. Mum started talking to this guy who came all the way from America just to see La Roux that night. He was really nice and we talked for ages. He berkata that he actually met La Roux before and god I was so jealous.
It was probably about just after 7 that we were aloud in the venue. I was rushing towards the front so I could get there first. There were people already at the front but I still managed to get really close. Probably about four to five rows away from the front. There was another band before La Roux cam on. They were there for about an jam and I really liked them. It was about another jam atau so before La Roux came on. Her entrance was so awesome! It looked so different form other artists. I sang alone to every single word of her songs and took heaps of video’s and pictures. That was really a night to remember for the rest of my life. I can’t explain it enough. After she finished I couldn’t stop smiling and talking because I was just so excited. I asked mum if I could go and buy some stuff form the little toko at the back. I bought three t-shirts, a emas ring and a hoodie. I took over £50 with me, and spent it all and more. In total I sent £80 on that stuff from the konser but to me, it was well worth the money.
I really wanted to meet her after the concert. We got told that if we wanted to see her, we should go round the back of the venue. I really wanted to give her a card that I made her (I made it for her to tell her how much she means to me and how much I look up to her. It took me four months to make it but the first time, dad wouldn’t let me find someone to give it to her. That’s why I was upset the first time) but I knew for a fact that mum would try her very best to help me get it to her somehow. She came out just before we went round to see her but I was prepared to wait the whole night to see her. After a while of waiting I was starting to lose hope and I couldn’t stop crying but I really wanted to meet her so I just stayed there until she came out.
3 hours latter (at 1.30 in the morning) she came out. I just couldn’t believe that she was standing right in front of my eyes. I was crying with happiness so much. I waited until last to see her so hopefully I could talk to her a bit more. She singed my tickets and I got two foto with her. I just couldn’t thank her enough for taking the time to come and see me. She came me a hug as well and then she went back inside. I went crying on mums shoulder and mum was crying for me too. My dream had actually come true and so soon as well. I can’t explain how happy I was that I just met my fashion icon and musik hero. And got to give her the card too. I couldn’t have been anymore happier. I’ll always remember dad telling mum that before the konser I’d never get to meet her, it would never happen, and I did. My dream did come true and I proved my dad wrong about the whole thing.
I learnt that dreams do come true if anda believe that anda can really achieve it. No matter what kind of dream anda have, if anda make the effort, anda will be rewarded. No matter what people say atau think, it can still happen and don’t let anybody make anda think it won’t! I know that now that my dream did come true, and I never thought it would, and it did. Dreams came become a reality if anda want them to be.
