Steps
1.
Decide what anda want to cosplay for. Are anda going to a convention, atau are anda hanging out casually with cosplay buddies? Check the date, and give yourself at least two atau lebih moths to get this cosplay.
2.
Decide what character anda want to cosplay, atau dress up as.
3.
Research your character. Look up gambar of them and take careful notice of what they wear. This is including accessories, jewelry, and shoes. Find the best picture and use it as a reference.
4.
Look at websites that sell your character's costume. Look up as many as anda can, because a good site can be difficult to hunt down.
5.
Compare prices. Don't forget to check shipping prices! Some costumes seem cheap, but with shipping they end up super expensive.
6.
Compare the costume with your reference picture. Make sure most if not all details are accurate.
7.
Check the feedback for that site atau seller. Sometimes anda end up with a terrible costume because the site atau seller itself is unreliable.
8.
Choose your costume based on a combination of pricing, quality, and accuracy. It depends on which anda value most.
9.
If your character has different hair then yours, either look into dye atau a wig. I suggest using a wig because anda can wear the costume whenever anda want and it is generally lebih convenient.
10.
If anda decide anda want a wig, repeat steps 4 to 8 with wigs. anda also probably want a wig cap, which anda can get for a few dollars at a party store. This keeps your hair in place and out of site while wearing the wig.
11.
Make sure anda purchase the accessories if anda want a truly accurate cosplay.
Tips
If anda have chosen a character who has generic clothing, try and use normal clothes for part of the cosplay. Then buy what anda don't have lying around. Take Grell for example. He has a white shirt, a vest, black pants, and a red coat. anda only need to really buy the coat. (And the accessories)
It sometimes helps to purchase different aspects of the costume separately. Maybe buy your kemeja on a different site as anda bought your mantel atau props.
Cosplay= costume and fun. Make sure anda can enjoy your experience in your costume. Test it before hand to insure it is comfortable.
Keep a look out for online sales. anda can get amazing deals if anda act fast.
