The Dearest Friends: 9 Times Jorah And Daenerys Proved They Need Each Other

As is usual with the show, last night\'s Game of Thrones episode was packed with intense moments and reveals:

Hodor\'s big moment, that nasty bit of information about the Children of the Forest, and the White Walkers getting a fair share of the spotlight. You can get a full recap here.

But it\'s a tiny moment closer to the fire of the dragons than the ice of the Wall that really tugged at our heartstrings. Plagued with greyscale, Jorah had no choice but to reveal his fatal disease to Daenerys — that, and his undying love for her. And after having him banned twice, the Mother of Dragons finally admits how valuable he is to her, ordering him to find a cure and come back to her.

The pair may have a rocky history, but here are nine moments to prove that they\'re just meant to be by each other\'s side.

Jorah was quick to realize that Viserys was little more than a crazy fool, and his loyalty goes to Daenerys when he refuses to follow her brother\'s order to kill her men. He might\'ve still been a spy at the time, but Jorah\'s commitment to Daenerys was already born.

But he only knew because he was the one who informed her enemies she was pregnant.

Meddling with Duur\'s magic surely didn\'t help make the childbirth go smoothly, but Jorah is there to help. Always.

4. When She Kissed Him Before Climbing Into The Fire

When they arrive at Meereen and Jorah volunteers to face their champion, Daenerys stops him by saying she will not gamble with his life.

"You are my most trusted advisor, my most valued general and my dearest friend."

Not only could we see that Daenerys was clearly scared for him when Jorah fought in Daznak\'s Pit, he saves her from the undercover Sons of the Harpy who take over the arena.

Finally, Season 6 brought some sort of reconciliation between these two. When Daenerys finally accepts him back after banishing him twice, he admits he has greyscale and decides by himself that he should stay away. But she won\'t let him go into hiding and commands him to go find a cure.

"I command you to find the cure, wherever it is in this world. I command you to heal yourself, and then return to me."
