I don't think he would be the perfect person... i was leaning towards heath ledger but now that thats not an option... but i definilty think he would be better than robert. at least hes hot which is how edward should be!!

I'm sorry, but I think Robert is a wonderful choice for Edward. I didn't think of him before the announcement, but I think he's perfect now. He's a wonderful actor and I find him quite attractive. Jonathan would have been a good choice, but I don't think he'd be better than Robert.

Facially JRM kind of has the look, but he's too old to play a teenager.

he doesnt really fit the role... i mean he s a little old to be the 17 year old edward... so yeah, i thing i m gonna stick with rob for now..>!!! <3

the character does not fit JRM's style...if U asked me if JRM is a better actor then R-pattz..i'd say HELL YES!!!!

If JRM was Edward, I would actually not hate Twillight.

JRM would bring much more passion for the character!!! And those eyes of his!!! Aren´t they perfect for hypnotizing???

I think that Robert is fine as Edward, but I just hate him with all my heart (Robert Pattinson, not Edward, thats why i dont watch twilight+) so i would be happy if he were replaced, especially if it was Jonathan
