Right, well. You know I don't like Skate one little bit BUT. I just don't hate them enough, you know? I don't care about them unless they get in Jate's way. I think the thing I don't like the most about them is the Sawyer/Kate interraction as a whole. I just don't get it. Ok no offence to any Skater reading this (or, well, maybe a little :P) but I don't understand how you can ship a couple where the girl is so MEAN to the boy! LOL. It's so obvious that Kate doesn't love Sawyer, I could go into a thousand reasons why. Most of the time she doesn't even like him.

And I'm tired of the whole "Kate did something for Sawyer off the island, she obviously cares". That's because she's his friend. And she probably felt like she owed it to Cassidy too. Did Skaters block out the part in SNBH where Kate said YES to Jack? They must have done.

...in short, I love Sawyer. I just don't like him with Kate. I don't understand their relationship and I probably never will. But as long as Jate are together in the end, I can die happy :)

meh.. I never really hated them. I just ignored them... I sure Sawyer loves\loved Kate, but I can't see any deep Kate's feelings...

Well, I have to say, I LOVE Sawyer, and I think that him and Kate have a good spark, and they could probably work out if it wasn't for Jack. In my opinion, Jack and Kate are ment to be and that is just what it is. Kate and Sawyer are very much alike, which I think is a problem for their relationship. They just don't have that chemistry that Jack and Kate have. I am hoping that in the end, Jate will be together, and that Sawyer will be happy with someone else. I want the best for Sawyer, as long as him and Kate are just friends, nothing more.

The first time watching the Lost seasons I didn't really mind them it was more like 'Ok, kate's bangin Sawyer. Whatever.' NOW as I'm re-watching the seasons and I know how it all plays out, I soooooooo do not care for them. Like, what the hell is the point?

hi guys, I'm new to fanpop. I'm catherine-cate or cat for short. I think that if kate and sawyer had gotten off the island, they might have had a chance, but that all changed. they both started a life with people who helped them grow (jack & juliet), and the connections that they made during they're time apart were so strong that when kate came back to the island, she couldn't go back to what she'd had with sawyer, they'd both changed too much. which was great for us :). sawyer even said it himself "you and me would have never worked out, Kate"

It just seemed like they were obviously intended as just an alternate pairing, an obstacle for Jate to overcome. I never believed they could have been any form of endgame.
