Chapter 1: Father's visit
Rift: *sitting in chair reading*
Fluttershy: hey Rift, may I talk to anda for a second?
Rift: Sure, what is it?
Fluttershy: Um, is it alright if my father comes for a visit.
Rift: Uh, yeah sure.
Fluttershy: Is there something wrong?
Rift: Uh, no it's just..... I think your father hates me.
Fluttershy: Oh, come on Rift, he doesn't hate you.
Rift: Fluttershy, he tried to bribe me to break up with anda when we where dating.
Fluttershy: I know, but anda didn't did you?
Rift: No, but that's not the point, he clearly doesn't like anda being with me.
Fluttershy: What about at the wedding?
Rift: I'm sure he was just saying that to not break your heart.
Fluttershy: Just give him another chance.
Rift: I dunno Fluttershy.

Marcus: How's my little Fillyshy?
Fluttershy: I'm fine.
Marcus: Ahhh, mister Ruft. *starts a stare down with Rift*
Rift: It's Rift, with an 'i' Sir. *butts his head against Marcus's*
Fluttershy: Daddy, anda told me anda wouldn't do this.
Kat: hey dad, um...... What the?
Fluttershy: Oh Kat meet your grandfather, my dad, Marcus.
Rift: Now if anda don't mind, I'm going to see what my daughter needs. What's the matter Kat?
Kat: Uh, Calvin accedentally made a glue bottle explode and Susie's mad because it's all in her mane.
Susie: anda are so stupid Calvin!!!
Dewdrop: That's not very nice Susie.
Calvin: How was I supposed to know that a brick would do that?
Susie: oleh using your brain which anda aperently don't have!!!
Marcus: anda have fillies?
Fluttershy: Yes, Kat, Susie, Dewdrop, and our most recent, Calvin.
Rift: Susan Alexandra Jones, anda know not to yell at your younger brother. He doesn't know any better.
Susie: But look at what he did to my mane, it took Rarity hours to get it the way it is.
Rift: Why don't anda keep it like Kat's?
Susie: Because I'm better than her and don't need it like hers.
Kat: Are not.
Susie: Are too.
Kat: Why anda little!!!! *takels Susie and pulls on her mane*
Rift: Oh, Celestia. Come on anda two anda are sisters anda shouldn't be-*Susies hoof comes up and hits Rift in the chin*
Fluttershy: Oh dear.
Marcus: He's as bad a father as he is a son in law.
Rift: Enough anda two!!
Susie: Ow, ow, ow. Daddy get her off me she's pulling on the parts of my mane that are covered in glue!!
Rift: Kathrine Jones! Get of of your sister now! Kat anda are grounded young lady.
Susie: Who's this?
Rift: Your grandfather Marcus. I'm steppin' out!!!
Marcus: Couldn't handle it?
Chapter 2: Hatered and love
Rift: *sitting in bar with cider*
Snake: Hey, a apel, apple cider! Howdy Rift. *puts his cowboy hat on Rift's head*
Rift: *takes off hat and throws it on the ground*
Snake: Something wrong?
Rift: Yeah *pickes up hat and puts it on table* my father in law is over and is givin' me a hard time.
Snake: Man, that's rough. I don't know what it's like.
Rift: You're lucky Macintosh told me his parents are gone, atau dead, I don't remember.
Snake: Should anda be getting halaman awal oleh now?
Rift: Shouldn't you?
Snake: No, applejack let's me stay out a while.
Rift: I see. Well I'm going back.
Snake: See ya.
Later back at Fluttershy's cottage*
Rift: Here we go. Hi Kat what is it?
Kat: I'm sorry for pulling on Susie's mane. I know anda don't like me a whole lot and- *starts crying*
Rift: No, no Kat I cinta you. You're one of my favorit daughters.
Kat: But, it didn't seem like it when anda yelled at me.
Rift: *hugs Kat* Kat, I'm sorry I yelled at you, I was frustrated and it wasn't helping that anda and Susie where fighting. 
Kat: *sniff* anda don't hate me?
Rift: Kat, why would I hate my own daughter?
Kat: Because I can't do anything right.
Rift: Kat, that's not true. anda stand up for your brother, anda smak one heck of a halaman awal run, anda do good in school. Heck, if I was somepony else's father I'd be jealous not having anda as my daughter.
Kat: Really? *sniff*
Rift: Eeyup, how about we go get some ice cream and I lift your grounding. Deal?
Kat: Deal. And 'one of your favorit daughters'? 
Rift: Dewdrop.

Chapter 3: selanjutnya morning
Rift: Zzzzzzzzzzzz...
Fluttershy: Wake up big boy.
Rift: hmm, what? Oh, morning malaikat how'd anda sleep?
Marcus: She slept fine.
Rift: Oh, you're still here.
Macus: For the whole week my friend. And mabye later I could talk to you.
Later...*
Rift: anda got me out now what?
Marcus: Walk with me.... Listen, we'd both do what's right for Fluttershy correct?
Rift: Where are anda going with this?
Marcus: I'll pay anda fourteen thousand bits to divorce Fluttershy.
Rift: *slaps Marcus* anda keep your blood money, I'll never break up with your daughter. And the hari I do is the hari I die. Now good hari to anda sir!
Way later....*
Snake: This is the third time in this week I've seen anda here man.
Rift: I swear I'll rip his head off and feed to a Changling and......*sigh* What's the use? He'll never like me.
Snake: I see the problem here, he thinks you're not good enough for Fluttershy.
Rift: Really?
Snake: Yeah, I took pyscology in highschool so I know this stuff, if anda prove to him that anda are good enough for her he'll stop givin' anda a hard time.

Chapter 3: Trying
Rift: Ok, I'm going to help Fluttershy today, no matter what. Ahem, Fluttershy is there anything you'd like me to do for you?
Fluttershy: Sure, could anda help Susie get gum out of her mane?
Rift: How'd that happen?
Fluttershy: Kat was blowing a bubble and it popped. anda should know the rest.
Rift: Yeah, doesn't take a detective to figure it out.
*in the bathroom*
Rift: Ok, Susie I need anda to stay perfectly still.
Susie: Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, you're pulling on my mane!
Rift: There's gum in it Susie, I need to use the brush to get it out so of course there will be some pulling involved...... There, that wasn't so bad was it?
Susie: I guess not.
Marcus: Please, anypony can do that.
The selanjutnya day...*
Fluttershy: *with a Sining tone* Oh Rift.
Rift: Yeah Fluttershy?
Fluttershy: Can anda please bring me my planner? I need to see if I have any oppointments today.
Rift: Sure Angel. *grabs planner* Here anda go.
Fluttershy: Thank you. *kisses Rift's cheek*
Marcus: I could've done that.
Chapter 4: Never good enough
Rift: *sitting in chair reading*
Fluttershy: *crying* Ow, ow, ow!!!!
Rift: *Runs over to Fluttershy* malaikat what happened?
Fluttershy: I.... I cut my hind leg and it hurts a lot.
Rift: Here just lay on your back a bit. KAT!!!! I need the first aid kit!
Kat: Got it daddy.
Rift: Ok, open it up and hand me the gauze.
Kat: That's the white bandages right?
Rift: Yes.
Kat: Here anda go.
Fluttershy: *still crying* Owww!! It hurts so much.
Rift: *in a clamping tone* Shh-h-h, it's ok, I get cut a lot I'm use to doing this. I'll just membungkus, bungkus this around your cute little hoof and it should be fine.
Fluttershy: anda *sniff* anda think my hoof is cute?
Rift: Yes, but then again, I think evey thing about anda is cute. There, if anda want anda can ride on my back if anda need to go somewhere. Are anda ok? I'm sorry anda got cut.
Fluttershy: *sniff* Yes, thank anda Rift.
Marcus: Big whoop, I've been healing her wounds since she was a filly.
Rift: I'll never be good enough for anda will I? I've taken care of your daughter for a long time and anda treat me as if I only make things worse. But it's anda who make's things worse, you'll never see it. Come on Fluttershy, I'll help anda to bed.
Chapter 5: Confession
Rift: * Reading*
Marcus: Rift, may I talk to anda for a while?
Rift: If you're trying to bribe me again I swear on the name of my father I'll rip your head off.
Marcus: Listen, anda know why I've been rough on you?
Rift: Because anda are a annoying braying donkey who hates everypony except his own daughter.
Marcus: No, it's because I know anda don't have a father and I've been trying to be like him.
Rift: *pfft* anda could never be like my father, he was understanding, kind, and never bribed me to do anything. Unlike you.
Marcus: Mabye that's where I went wrong. I tried being like the kind of father who is over protective of his child. I'm not purposefully rough on you, I'm just trying to be like him.
Rift: Then mabye selanjutnya time you'll ask me what he was like. Instead of coming to conclusions that he was hard on me.
Marcus: Alright, well how about it? Shake hooves and let bygones be bygones and we'll no longer be enemies? Deal?
Rift: If anda accept me as your son in law and stop trying to bribe me then we gotta deal.
Chapter 6: Bye
Marcus: Well I'd better get going, bye my little Fillyshy.
Fluttershy: Bye daddy.
Marcus: Rift?
Rift: Yeah?
Marcus: Take good care of my daughter, she's lucky to have anda as a husband.
