She looks around slowly, taking in the scene.

Janis: This is unreal... I was in that Shinto shrine just a few menit ago, but now... Now it looks like I'm in a completely different world. What's going on here?

Janis regains her composture and slowly makes her way through the forest. After a while of looking around, she comes to the Tree. Monk Sen is standing underneath it.

Monk Sen: So anda came...
Janis: You're...Monk Sen. What are anda doing here?
Monk Sen: I've been waiting for you... This world is not like the one anda were in. This is the world anda call the Feudal Era. Many demons still exist in this time. Daughter of Kamui, I give to you... Shikioni. It will protect anda from demons. Understand this. anda must learn quickly how to protect yourself.

With those words Monk Sen dissolved into thin air.

Janis: So you're saying that this world is dangerous? Learn how to protect myself...? Where would I even begin...?

With a sigh, Janis began her "journey". It wasn't long before a demon attacked her.

Janis ran in the direction the man had run off to. She bumps into him and an old lady talking. The man sees Janis.

Gohei: L-Lady Kaede!
Kaede: Hmm. Certainly.. The garb ye wears is passing strange. And your hair...such a color? When first I met Kagome, I thought she was strange, too... Hmm, could it be...?
Janis: "Kagome"? Did anda say Kagome?!

Janis runs over to Kaede and Gohei.

Janis: Do anda know Kagome?!
Kaede: Oh-ho! Just as I thought! Be ye a friend of Kagome, then??

Kaede lets Janis into the hut. She gives Janis some food and they talk for a while.

Kaede: I see... So ye and Kagome go to the same school. And from the land called "Tokyo" as well, it seems.
