I'm pretty sure it was his humanity, how he's beautiful personality wise, and then in Aphrodites vision it was him (a beast) and his humanity, like he was fighting his humanity and joining his father, the big bad Kalona!

Maybe he looked Cheereokee (Spelling :S) ,and Stevie rae thought he looked indian, like his mother (who ever she was).

It's how Rephaim look when he's human so yes it's his humanity showing
