What do anda think of France X Jeanne D'Arc?

I lebih than cinta this pairing. This is probably the one pairing I can possibly come to actually shipping. i don't know. Whenever I see the two together I can't help but cry rivers of tears.
I hated England for a week. Not just Arthur England but Angleterre England. Jeanne was a real person dude and she burned at the stake. She did so much at my age and saved France and they burned her?! No one should ever do that to a person. Never.

But yeah I cry. And that doujinshi? Above, whenever I see it I cry even more.

oleh the way i should probably mention that I cinta all pairings. Its just that some get to me lebih than others. I can see why some don't like it though. She is a controversial pairing because of the fact that she was a historical figure and also a saint.

Not only that but she was betrayed oleh The French King. So I can see why. I just wish that Jeanne had a happy ending though. Anyhow anyone watched the movie on Jeanne? Was she ever in cinta with the knight? That confuses me ever so much.

Of course I know, which is why I clarified that I meant England not Iggy England. It was a moment of history for me not Hetalia. My apologies I tend to talk alot between the two.

Things happen. It was a period of turmoil. People during that time were less enlightened. Things start from a crude level. The better thing to have in mind with regard to historical events is to learn from it, so we can avoid the bad and implement the good. Hatred won't be of much help, in this case.

As to France x Jeanne, well I don't really see it as a romantic tandem. Maybe I used to before but my shipping are a lot lebih narrowed down now. As I see them, they are like a kin to each other. The same loyalty and piety of a child to her father.

Yeah I know I just tend to have an overreactive imagination. anda know how when anda learn atau read something anda get into that time period? Like as if you're in it? ...Erm...maybe thats just me. Sorry I'm weird.

Yup, anda certainly got carried away... in a good way... And nice knowing about your dream of becoming a history professor. History happened to be one of my faves (all are social sciences) so I can say it's an ideal profession when the time comes (lols, now I'm talking about job. Sorry. Senior moment. Senior citizen = mushy)

Jeanne is my most favorit historical figure <3 But I just think of their relationship as a bond between a great person of history tampilkan loyalty, and honor for her beautiful country oleh fighting for it til death~ But nothing romantic. ^^

Yeah I can understand that. Sometimes I pertanyaan myself is it her atau really love. I tend to see it the same way but as cinta from a country to a figure. I can see what anda mean though.

Ah yes, to think of it, she is a Saint, besides being a heroic historical figure. And so I'm a lot lebih detaching the romance.

Don't remind m~ :) . I watched a movie on her and it made me want to cry. My class and I knew she can't fall in cinta for though she is a girl at the time she was the Maid. Istill wish that Jeanne was able to enjoy life lebih though, she was born a girl and made into a saint. It makes me realize what we take for granted. However was it France who betrayed her atau the Charles VI. I'm sorry I'm getting into history now aren't I?

It's okay. It's true that France himself didn't betray her, but the fact remains that the same King she worked so hard to please, and the same people who she protected, left her burning at the stake. This is what angers. They did nothing when she got captured oleh the Burgundians, yet they still condemned the English for what they did to her. It's true that England was the one who killed, but really, they were at war and she was a French Maid. It's only expected that they would do this to her as the enemy. But what about the French who betrayed het? In my mind they are lebih to blame than the English government.

There was this St. Augustine who indulged in worldly things before he mended his ways. During the lifetime of the Saints, they were not yet officially Saints. It takes long years after their death and several stages before one is declared as Saint. But as what I know, she made a vow to God but it was lebih like a vow of chastity than a vow not to love. (It ain't much stated in many buku so this statement here is subject to corrections.) Nonetheless it seems it really was in her nature to be uninterested in worldly things - pure as she is and most esp. that divine messages appears to her. So that makes the pairing abated in romanticism. To add up, indeed there was a lack of help from French authorities to save her, as Ama pointed out up there. In another aspect, political factionalism had virtually tore France apart. What can anda expect from a dissenting faction like the Burgundinians? Naturally, they’d only be concerned of their own self-interest and will not cooperate. That’s how politics goes. Though I was touched oleh how it was shown in hetalia that France (the character) cared for his heroine and I can just imagine behind the scene that he must have been upset of his countrymen’s shortcomings. So basically now I see it as a bond of piety and loyalty of Jeanne to her motherland.

She's one of mine too. However history is still repeated. Not at that approach but people still get hurt everyday. It makes me sad. But it's okie if anda don't agreed to it. I can see why some won't.
