I pronounced it Hermoyn. I think I must've got the o and the i the wrong way around. But I only made that mistake for the first book or two, and after that I was corrected. =)

Ya i had to ask my friend how to say it this is our conversation: "Hey Jacob! How do you say that one girls name?"
I said. He says "What girl?" I answered "That girl with the brown hair!" So he's like "Oh! Hermione!"

I read it on Croatian so I didn't have any problem with the name because it was spelled on Croatian...not a big difference, though...in Croatian it is Hermiona, sooo not a problem, really...

Well, I read the first books in German and it's "Hermine" there, so...

in my language (Portuguese) reads as it is written, so it was easy

Lol I was 6 or 7 and me and my dad would read it together and NEITHER of us knew how to pronounce it! We went through "HER-mee-one", "HER-mee-own", and "Her-mee-OH-nee". It wasn't until we saw the movie that we realized it was "Her-MY-oh-nee"

When I started to read the HP books, I read them in Dutch (I was quite young, 9 or 10). In Dutch, Hermione is Hermelien, so I said the name right..
The first time I saw the movie I was like: hmm, okay, Hermelien in English is Hermione (I didn't know how to write it, only how to pronounce her name xD).

I still remember that the first time I read her name in HP book is her-mi-1! =))

I have never read the books, but when I saw the films first, it was in danish (my language) and in danish, her name is not the same as in english, so in many years I said it rong if I had to say it in english.
