I distinctly remember the first time I thought they would be a good couple. It was in the fourth book, right before the Yule Ball, when Ron says that Ginny should just go with Harry. Ginny refused and I felt disappointed which was odd since I had never really thought much of Ginny before, but - the more I thought about it - the more I wanted them to be a couple.
