columbus kept it like the books, i liked newell as well

i totally agree with xxshannen1xx, the 1º and 2º movie were the most faithfull to the books, but to me, the best as a director was Mike Newell

Order of the Phoenix is by far my favorite, and I think Half-Blood Prince is gonna be amazing!

He was the one who taught me to separate the films and books when judging them. When you do that, regardless of all they cut out, the third one is the best as a film with the fifth being next in line. So Cuaron and Yates are pretty close in my books, with Cuaron edging Yates out by just a little.

I think Alfonso Cuaron did a great job in keeping to the tone of POA. I also think David Yates good job with The Order of the Phoenix. It seems so weird every time I see or hear that name because I have an uncle named David Yates :)

I did not like PoA, though many adore it (critics, including0. I know people who never read the books and were confused about it. I hate how they didn't clarify the Marauders, made Super!Hermione and messed up Ron (gave line to Hermione, didn't back Hermione up against Snape). Still, all the HP movies are enjoyable for me. The cuts and changes for that one irks me, though. =(

OotP was my fave so far. I hope HBP will be better! I love the first two because they seemed SO true to the books (but still, the stories were much more childish...). And GoF was really good (minus some annoying changes).

Well, this has been my favourite movie so far so I will have to go with him :)

I find it really hard to judge Directors coz you can never tell how much is a result of them. Anyway chose David coz the last 2 films have been my favourite.

the sixth movie was fabulous, so even though i ddn like the 5th one all too much, yates was the best imo

Ha. I picked him as the worst as well. But for me all the directors have been great, but he had the hardest job.

He stuck to the books!

the first two movies were the best, just as last two were the wors. The middle was okay.

Mike Newell? Appalling, shabby.
David Yates? Meh, okay.
Chris Columbus? Good, but a little slow.

Alfonso? Amazing.
