I think this would have been a good expression of how he'd changed sides and was in reality helping to defeat Voldemort. Obviously it would have either happen while he's dying, or be revealed in one of the memories Harry views after his death.

I also would have liked Luna and Ginny to have Horcrux destructions, but I'd want both of them to do so, not just one. The only canon Horcrux destroyer I don't agree with is Crabbe/Goyle for the diadem (I can't even remember which did it in the books or which in the films), which only leaves one slot free.
