As many of anda have heard, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince has been postponed until July 17, 2009. Now, I would have been perfectly okay with this if it had been due to production. For example, not all the visual effects were ready, editing still needed lebih time, and a multitude of other time-consuming production tasks. Well, in the midst of my frenzy this evening, I came across this Yahoo! artikel that clearly laid out Warner Bros. reasoning behind this postponement. What lies in this artikel will cause much anger to rise within you, I would suggest stepping away from sharp objects, shoes, and any walls within a vicinity of 10 feet. Also please keep your hands off this computer and your windows closed as this may cause anda to toss your computer out the window. Now to present: Warner Bros. Reason
The pindah was made to take advantage of an open weekend in Hollywood's busy summer season, berkata Alan Horn, Warner Bros. president and chief operating officer. The film had been on schedule, and the change was not due to any production snags, he said.
"The picture is completely, absolutely, 100 percent on schedule, on time. There were no delays," Horn told The Associated Press. "I've seen the movie. It is fabulous. We would have been perfectly able to have it out in November."
This quote from the Yahoo! artikel just proved to me how greedy Warner Bros really is and how ridiculous this whole postponement is! I mean, come on! If the movie is ready, then just keep it on track and release it in November! It will still make a killing at the box office! Warner Bros wants lebih though, they want summer box office victory, not Thanksgiving box office! Their greed with this film astounds me and completely disgusts me.
Furthermore, they just now announced this out of the blue! Entertainment Weekly has just released their Fall Movie cuplikan issue with Harry Potter on the cover. Just think about how embarassed they are now! That issue is now outdated and the release tanggal is now mass misinformation. Plus, aren't Entertainment Weekly and Warner Bros. related companies? One would think this would have been told to Entertainment Weekly so as to stop them from printing thousands to millions of issues about a film that's not even coming out in the fall now! Entertainment Weekly had this wonderful statement!
"In an irony sure to set blogger hearts beating giddily, the film graces the cover of EW’s new fall cuplikan issue, which hits stands today. EW and Warner Bros. share a parent company, but they clearly do not share, anda know, important friggin’ information."
Oh how I cinta them now! Anyways, Warner Bros. is being ridiculous pulling this pindah and will definitley be facing a huge loss of respect from the Harry Potter fandom. They've certainly lost mine.
