I totally agree. Although she was very brave, I always thought she should have been a Ravenclaw.

I think Hermione lacked the open mind for Ravenclaw. She wasn't able to learn creatively atau think outside of the box (which is why she and Luna were so against each other). Besides she berkata she though "books and cleverness" weren't as important as "friendship and bravery" :)

I know no one knows what house the New Generation ended up in, but everyone says Albus would be in Slytherin. I always thought he'd be in Gryffindor! Why would he be a Slytherin? I don't think he had any Slytherin traits, AND he was only WORRIED about getting into Slytherin. Wasn't Harry worried too? And look! He didn't get put into Slytherin!

Whoa, that was kinda rant-like..I'm done with ranting for the day.

@spottedpool. You're thinking of Albus Dumbledore. And also, you're thinking of the fourth FILM, not the book. I have read the buku over twenty times and I do not remember that line ANYWHERE in the book. It is in the film

I think for the most part, they were put in the right places. Although, Peter Pettigrew is debatable. He was cowardly throughout most of what we've seen, but I also have to say it was a little brave to gabung Voldemort to start with- well, brave, yet not. If anda get what I mean.

He did some brave things for cowardly reasons. I don't know.

Well, Hufflepuff is known for loyal, hard-working, honest people, although they also take in "the rest" as well. I can't say Peter was loyal atau honest, hard-working is debatable. Slytherin's known for being cunning, achievement-oriented, shrewd, and ambitious. He can be cunning, and he could also fit in the "they hesitate before acting" category, but I don't know.

Hermione has the brains for Ravenclaw.
Loyaty for Hufflepuff.
Courage to be in Griffindor
But she would not be a Slytherin because she is muggle born and Salazar made it clear that only pure blood are to be in Slytherin, most of the time, a few half bloods are in Slytherin, ok occasionally a muggle born would be sorted there but that is a rare thing.
But with Hermione defiantly not a Slythein.

if u ask me,i would say that wormtail should have been in slytherin agreeing to the fact tht he is a "good for nothing" and yeah he did tampil some bravery oleh joining voldemort but tht reasonably isnt enough for a gryffindor
secondly i dont see any traits of intelligence in cho chang tht makes her a ravenclaw.also she was loyal to harry as she dint wear tht "support cedric diggory" batch even though he was her boyfriend so maybe hufflepuff was gud for her
and luna was very brave she should have been in gryffindor

Sirius and James have the Slytherin bully quality they are both very ambitions. Wormtail is not cunning atau ambitios like a slytherin, he lacks the brains for Ravenclaw, he is definatly not brave enough for Gryffendor, and Hufflepuff takes the rest thus he belongs.

I agree with most of them. but i don't think james and sirius should be in slytherin. they both hav bullying qualities - that is true, but one doesn't doesn't land them in the house. Sirius hates slytherin and the sorting hat takes his own decisions into consideration. and sometimes potter can be so thick and daft that he cannot even think straight without tripping over whatever is in front of him; he isn't very cunning. and both sirius and james have the reckless, trouble-making qualities that all gryffindors possess

I agree. Hufflepuffs always strike me as weak and pathetic (some of them anyway). Slytherins are resourceful, cunning, ambitious and power-hungry. I don't see Wormtail being any one of those things. If he truly was in the slytherin house, he'd be an insult the whole house

^ Hufflepuffs aren't weak and pathetic, they're honest and hard-working; there's a difference. Hufflepuffs are decent, upstanding, working class citizens; Slytherins are white kerah criminals.

YO! I'M a Puff! >:( Anyways, I don't have anything against any of the Houses and fine of being sorted in any one. tho i do prefer Hufflepuff. Anyway, I thought he should be a Slytherin because he became ambitious after betraying his friends. Puffs don;t betray, Hence the loyalty.

Hermione should have been a Ravenclaw, and Pettigrew a Slytherin. Not because he's bad, and Slytherins don't go to Heaven where the malaikat fly; he possesses many of the Slytherin traits: he's ambitious, in his own way, and he's certainly cunning. In fact, I'd say he's one of the most cunning characters in the series; I think he intentionally puts on a lot of that weak, pathetic demeanor to make people underestimate him.

Peter Pettigrew should've been in Hufflepuff. He was evil as an adult, but when he was younger he was just an awkward wizard who looked to stronger wizards like James, Sirius, and Lupin for protection. He lacks the bravery of a Gryffindor, the intelligence of a Ravenclaw, and the cunning of a Slytherin. Hufflepuff is the only house left. It's where kind and loyal people go sometimes, but it can also be the house for people who don't fit into any other category. The Sorting Hat berkata it himself, Gryffindor wanted the bold, Ravenclaw wanted the wise, Slytherin wanted the ambitious, and Hufflepuff took all the rest.

But he had to be in Gryffindor otherwise he never would've been close to James, Lily and the others and probably wouldn't have had the opportunity to betray them. Then there wouldn't be a series.

As Dumbledore points out in the last book, they Sort early - possibly too early. So maybe Pettigrew did tampil early signs of courage which were crushed out later in life. Maybe Snape did possess enough of the Slytherin ambition and cunning to drown out other traits, atau maybe his courage was hidden at the time since nothing had triggered it. There's no indication of Cho's intelligence one way atau another. Hermione was nearly a Hatstall because the Hat was considering Gryffindor and Ravenclaw - this is revealed on Pottermore.
