(New Directions were in the choir room the selanjutnya day, along with some members of the Troubletones who were chosen to sing with an ND member. Will Schuester walked in the room, and placed a stack of papers on puncak, atas of the black piano.)
Mr. Schue: Okay, guys. Who wants to go first for their assignment?
(Rory is sitting between Artie and a Cheerio, Tammy McGee, who he was assigned to work with. He turned towards Tammy and tried getting her attention.)
Rory: Do anda want go, Tammy?
Santana (putting her hand on Tammy's shoulder): Excuse me, Irish. No one from New Directions is allowed to fool around with a Troubletone, especially one that smells like shamrocks and dog food.
Mr. Schue: Santana, don't.
Kurt: I elect to go last.
Tammy (to Kurt): I think not, Spongeface Gaypants. I dibs last before anda did.
Blaine: I'm starting to forget the lyrics.
Rachel (complaining): Finn would kick your pantat, keledai in memorizing lyrics.
Blaine: And I care because...
Finn: I should shove a kaus kaki in your mouth!
Mr. Schue: Guys, that's enough!
Artie (raising his hand): Mr. Schue, I say that Mercedes and I go next, since the rest of the people in this room refuse.
Mercedes: Let's go, Artie. We're gonna tear this room up.
(Artie and Mercedes went up to the piano and turned towards New Directions and the Troubletones.)
Artie: Today, we're doing a mash-up of "Beautiful Soul" oleh my man, J-McCartney...
Mercedes: And "Always Be My Baby" oleh my girl, Mariah Carey.
Mr. Schue: Alright then. tampil us what anda got.
(Mercedes pointed to the band behind them, signaling them to start the music. The musicians started playing their instruments, and Artie and Mercedes started their link/link mash-up.)

Artie (singing):

Artie (whispering to Mercedes): Think that will impress Sam for anda enough?
Mercedes (whispering back): I hope it did.
(At that moment, Becky walked in the room.)
Becky: Mr. Schuester, the principal needs anda in his office. And Coach Sylvester wants to see Tammy, Santana, and Brittany.
Santana (mumbling to herself): Annoying child.
(The three Cheerios left out the door. Becky gazed at Artie and smiled.)
Becky: Are we still on for our date, Artie?
Artie: What?
(Mike and Puck started chuckling in the background.)
Artie: I'm sorry, Becky. We ended our relationship, remember? Besides, I have a test to study for anyways.
Becky (rolling her eyes, mumbling to herself): I was going to dump him anyway.
(Becky left out of the choir room, along with Mr. Schuester.)
Quinn: Well, she took it better than Rachel did.
(Rachel started screaming and sobbing out of the choir room into the girls' bathroom.)
Quinn: Told you.
