Jessica wishes everyone a Happy Chinese New Year

February 19 marks Chinese / Lunar New Year. It\'s a time for families to gather around and stuff their faces. Everyone\'s giving their holiday greetings across the world from China to other Asian countries that celebrate this day, such as Korea (called \'Seolnal\'). In the clip above, Jessica sounds off her share of "Happy Chinese New Year\'s," complete in English and translated in Chinese for her international fans.

If you\'ve been following Jessica on social media you\'ll know that ever since her departure from Girls\' Generation, Jessica has been immersing herself in the Chinese and international markets. Although it\'s understandable why she would prefer not to promote in Korea for the time being, considering things are tense with SM, it would be nice if she could actively promote in Korea in the near future.

Still, the fashion designer is looking pretty and casual in pink as she wishes those who understand English and Chinese a happy Chinese New Year.

Every time I see and hear Jessica I smile. Until her show with Krystal the fact she is such an adorable sweetheart was never readily apparent. While being ripped from SNSD sucks and always will suck, at least now we can more easily and fully enjoy Jessica\'s many charms without the restraints of being in a group. Plus she can now speak to, and be understood, by hundreds of millions around the world and not just 50 million in Korea.

Why is she all about Chinese market? I don\'t get it. I guess her fanbase is wider there. Nonetheless, I sincerely wish her good luck. The way SM kicked her out of GG was just horrible. Way better alone.
