Lets say a 9 year old boy liked boys. if he told someone, would they say "Gross, you're too young for that."

I would question the person what they meant by that.
If they don't think the same about opposite attraction between kids, then idk.
I'd treat the kids respectfully and tell them that they're free to like whoever they like.

It's no more inappropriate then any other sexuality.

Yes. And it comes from this stupid stereotype that being Gay is for perverted adults and that kids shouldn't be exposed to that. Granted, there is a dark side to everything, but MOST gays aren't like what most would assume.

If it's inappropriate for a child to be gay then it's inappropriate for a child to be straight too
