The new one could never compare to the original. I refused to even watch the trailer for the new one. I do not like that they had a professional dancer as Ariel. The movie wasn't about being a great dancer, it was about he fun of dancing. Maybe Hollywood wanted to do a remake for get a new generation of fans. To me some movies need to be a one time thing.

I watched the movie in the remake they turned Ariel into a braindead barbie doll and i have no idea who attempted to play Ren but he SUCKED compared to Kevin Bacon AND THEY RUINED THE SONG FOOTLOOSE! It was horrible!
