I'm just curious, what does it mean if anda follow a fic that's already been finished? Does that mean ff will notify anda if it's been moved atau updated atau does it mean anything at all?

I have no idea. It was a guess. I know fictionpad will import stories from ff but no idea if they'll notify followers. It was just an example.
