Recently, I watched a double episode of Doctor Who (the Impossible Planet, and the Satan Pit), and it got me thinking about where the name Satan comes from.
For those of anda who don't know, Satan is another name for the Devil. And before anda get the idea that I believe in the Doctor Who theory about the Devil, and that this is basically an explanation about it, it's not. It will refer to planets, but not Doctor Who ones such as Skaro.
So where did Satan come from? Answer: The Romans.
