Pick up from yout hotel to enjoy trip to Bethany and Mukawer from Amman. Start at Bethany atau the Baptism Site, it is one of Jordan’s most important Christian Holy Paces and has become a major pilgrimage destination in the past few years. It is not only believed that Yesus Christ was baptised here in the Jordan River oleh John the Baptist, but also this is the location where all three entities of the Holy Trinity manifested their physical presence to humanity. Then we continue to Mukawer (Machaerus) the hilltop stronghold of Herod the Great. Upon Herod’s death, his son, Herod Antipas, inherited the fortress and it is from here that he ordered John the Baptist to be beheaded after Salome’s fateful dance then return back to hotel.
