She was more the parent then him in this situation....he did not take care of her, she was raising him and taking care of him....He dropped the ball as a father, but he was a good person....Please comment I am making an article for Fathers Day

A friendly, loving dad but a terrible disciplinarian (largely in thanks to Elinor running the show herself but whatever). he's as much of a boorish child as his own kids are.

He's just a terrible father. He left his kid and his wife just so he can go and have adventures somewhere. And he never came back, and wasn't even planning to find Aladdin. They met only because Aladdin found him.

Maybe just me but he slightly forced his son into marriage and didn't much care did he like the bride or not. I don't know about Cassim though, I haven't seen the movie.

I don't hate him, but I don't know anything about him, so he's my least favorite.

Yeah, BelleAnastasia got it covered. He left his family to find treasure, and did not gem come back to find and check up on them. If him and Aladdin did not bump into one another, they never would have met, so he clearly wen more so for himself. He used his son to get the treasure, and Jasmine convinced Aladdin to forgive him, which is why they end up on good terms. Aladdin probably looked up to The Sultan for a father figure more than his own father

I always felt bad for Aladdin.

Very funny character, but not a good parent. At all.
