Oh and not to mention it's borderline obssessive.

I love the song and it is definitely sweet & romantic but to me ^ that is just a slight obsession about someone she's never met. I know with Snow White/Aurora it's the same but their scenes are just more precious IMO - those 2 are just obsessed (for want of a better word) with the idea of love and dreams, whereas Ariel (in this scene anyway) seems obsessed with just Eric & that to me just makes it less romantic than the other choices.
