I hear so many people complain about how modern Disney movies ridicule the older ones, but Enchanted is the only one that really rubs me the wrong way with this. I just feel like Giselle is such a disrespectful parody of the original DPs, plus I don't like the idea of a primarily live-action character being a part of the lineup.

She is a fairy.

She ridicules the prior lineup, so doesn't need to be in the lineup. She is also in the Frozen Franchise. Also, Giselle, Tinker Bell ( she has the Fairies franchise), Moana ( she has her own franchise), and Anna ( she is part of the Frozen Franchise).

Isn't technically a princess nor the lead of her film. Next choices would be Tinkerbell and Alice.

It's bad enough that we have Merida, who did villainous actions like basically poisoning her mother and being willing to let everyone go to war for her own selfish reasons, we don't need a character that attempts to murder little girls that she's jealous is getting Peter's attention. And again, WHY IS SHE STILL HERE? People don't like the idea of a sequel character, a child, or an animal character who actually have ties to royalty to them but don't mind an attempted child murderer being in the line-up as much as they mind those.

Alice is not a Princess or main heroine. I like Tinker Bell as she was in the original Princess lineup when I was a child.

She's not even human. And in other cases that might not make a big difference, but here it does, because it's what kind of justifies her villainous actions (fairies don't have complex emotions). So, yeah, she wouldn't fit in with the others, and not in a good way...

I just prefer the others more.

I don't care about her being a fairy, what bothers me is that she. literally. attempted to murder a child. Her concept of morality and emotions is totally different than humans' so she couldn't possibly be someone little girls admire or relate to. She doesn't even talk, plus she has her own franchise so really why hasn't she been eliminated yet??

Don't like her at all. Super overrated character. Anyway she's like a Disney mascot like Mickey or Minnie so she doesn't need to be in the lineup.

She's a fairy + she's just annoying and irritating me on the original Peter Pan movie.
