Ariel is hated online, offline, everywhere. Besides her loyal base of fans, no one says good things about her.

People who do dislike her are a vocal minority. She tends to top popularity polls, gets the biggest number of people cite her as their favorite when you ask a group of people "Who's your favorite Disney Princess?", gets the most non-Frozen merchandise sold, etc.

@ Tygers_ Eye: Actually, Ariel LOSES opinion polls here on Fanpop. And she doesn't win them on the internet, either. I don't know where you're getting that impression.

Yes, some people will say ( who were born in the 1980s), that Ariel is their favorite. But most tend to say Belle. So again, your argument is debatable.

Finally, there are tons of articles on Ariel hate all over the internet. Fanpop is not the only isolated case of a cluster of Ariel haters. You are no longer in the minority at all.
