Yes to wanting to see a movie from the point of view of the villain, but not like Maleficent tried to do.

With Maleficent we got the story of the anti-hero, not the villain.

Only if they kept the villain's character intact and not turn them into a misunderstood anti-hero. "Maleficent" was less a perspective flipped "Sleeping Beauty" and more like somebody's bad fan fiction.
