To be honest, I prefer a mix. I like heroines that are realistic and relatable, but I also think that they deserve a whimsy, fairy tale ending, just to prove its Disney.

I tend to like fairy-tales to stay fairy-tales. Hence, my dislike of TPATF (a realist tale mashed up with a fairy-tale ending), and some others.

Prolly a realistic story under the guise of a whimsical fairy tale, sort of like Tangled.

I love both honestly. I'm thinking of sort of a mix like BATB. That is perfect for me. Generally I do prefer the realistic ones though.

I watch disney princess movies to get my mind off the real world and it's problems.

I like both too, because I think a movie with a good balance of whimsical and realism is what makes a story enjoyable and compelling.
(Although, I preferred whimsical stuff over realism).
