	Mongoose09 picked 9th: She's okay, I don't dislike her, but honestly I don't see what everyone else sees in regards to her "badassness" - yeah, she's pretty badass but not as much as people claim she is. Merida's supposed implied bad ass-ness only went as far as depriving her own mother of free will in order to inorganically change her mind through magic and influent her decision without her consent while intending to still benefit from her royal privileges. At least when Jasmine decided to rebel against arranged marriage she was willing to give up on her princess status, reject it and re-build her life from zero on her own. I like the way Merida's character was structured as well as her visual design, but ultimately she doesn't strike me as layered and admirable as the most of other princesses.
