2/10 Stupid heart-broken Maleficent and silly Aurora who can do nothing but giggling. Sorry Maleficent fans, but I really hate this movie. The only thing that gives me 2 is because the unconventional Frozen-like true love.

Alice in Wonderland 2010 (Tim Burton's version)

5/10. Nice visuals but it doesn't appeal to me.

Alice in Wonderland (1951)

9/10 It's an amazing adaptation of the book! It doesn't fall into either of the traps adaptations fall into of either not flowing the book close enough or of flowing it TOO CLOSE. It adds the right amount of details, Kathryn Beaumont adds more of a three-dimensional personality to a character that was meant to just be blank slate with her amazing acting abilities, the characters are memorable, the colors pop out, and I like how Alice is the only realistic looking character in Wonderland and the others are exaggerated and cartoony (which goes with the style), it's fun, and captures the spirit of the book while also not having to personality to is by following it too closely like the other adaptation did (Except Tim Burton's that didn't follow it AT ALL). I'm surprised that this movie never got a direct-to-DVD sequel when it has an actual sequel book and there are SO MANY possibilities. Hell, it deserves a theatrical sequel. Sorry for the LONG comment!

Beauty and the Beast (2017)

5/10 It was a rehash of the original 1991 movie, with some updates and backstory. However, the backstory introduced very little to what was already present, and the updates to certain characters ( Belle, Gaston, Lefou, the Beast/prince) weren't really well-thought-out. The execution of certain scenes often was lackluster. This movie had really serious problems with "tone" and "pacing" in my opinion. When compared to The Jungle Book remake or the Cinderella remake, I didn't feel transported into the story at all. On the whole, it is okay for a film remake, but I'm not feeling any urge to watch it again.


Nausicaa of the Valley of The Wind

6/10 Beautiful animation, but the plot itself is boring and predictable, not one of Miyazaki's best, but the critics seem to absolutely love it. Do these count as Disney films?




Moana

8/10 I really loved loved LOVED it when it first came out, but since then my love for it has *cough* greatly diminished and I kind of feel stupid for loving it so much, but ya it's still great.
