Let’s be honest here: basically every movie sequel song sucks. Still, some of the good songs have lost their way to the sequels. This artikel is about my favorit sequel songs. As captions I used my favorit lines from the song. Let’s start.
10. For A Moment (The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea)
This song always gets to me. It’s just that… erm... I’m not sure. Melody is too enthusiastic for my taste. On the other hand, it’s really good that she’s so enthusiastic. Otherwise the whole song would be ruined. Hard to explain. Still, I really like this song. It’s very inspiring.
9. Athena's Song (The Little Mermaid III: Ariel's Beginning)
The only reason why this movie is on the 9th place is that it’s too short, about 40 seconds. It’s really beautiful, though, and suits Athena. She’s such a warm persona and she radiates her warmth through the song, too. Even Arista and Aquata stop fighting when she’s singing.
So, Athena’s song is very beautiful but too short to pindah any higher.
8. Out of Thin Air (Aladdin III: The King of Thieves)
I consider this the only cinta song on my list. It’s beautiful and all. It tells us about melati and Aladdin’s past and present at the same time. aladdin reveals his feelings for his father’s absence. It’s all so touching. I think Out of Thin Air is not only a cinta song; it’s kind of Part of Your World with two people and a few cinta confessions.
7. Where Do I Go From Here (Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World)
Again: a very beautiful song. It’s also a song I can relate to, some ways. The reason why this song is on the 6th place is that I don’t cinta the melody. But I cinta the lyrics so much that I couldn’t put it lower. Overall, a very beautiful song with a not-so-beautiful melody.
6. Perfectly Perfect (Cinderella III: A Twist in Time)
This is a funny, touching and beautiful song. But it gets minus points because of anastasia and Drizella’s voices. So, would it be totally weird if I berkata that this song makes me so happy though anastasia and Drizella surely don’t sing about happiness? Well, I’ll say it anyways: Perfectly perfect makes me happy.
5. Welcome To the Forty Thieves (Aladdin III: The King of Thieves)
This is a very catching song. I just cinta this song. I can’t explain this. I cinta villain songs, which might be a major reason. Plus, the atmosphere in the song is very… twisted.
4. Lesson Number One (Mulan II)
The lyrics “One alone is not enough, we need both together” pretty much tells the reason I cinta this song so much. I cinta all the opposite attract things and this song is about it, kind of. Lesson Number One is very energetic and just so… epic. That’s why I cinta it.
3. Put It Together (Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo) (Cinderella II: Dreams Come True)- Ending
I give anda the permission to call me crazy after membaca this explanation. I cinta this song very, very much because it’s the closest villain-like version of Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo I’ll ever have. I am very well aware that this is not a villain song. I just think that a villain version of Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo would be so awesome! *drools*
2. So Much lebih Than a Dream (Cinderella III: A Twist in Time)
I love, love, cinta this song! It’s sad at first because Cindy gives up her dreams, sort of. Then she realized that there is a way to make her dreams come true and she’s so happy. I start to cry every single time I listen to that part. So Much lebih Than a Dream is such a super beautiful song.
1. I Still Believe (Cinderella III: A Twist in Time) - Ending
Awwwwws, this is beautiful, happy and a bit bittersweet song. I think it’s kind of ironic that I don’t believe in cinta (in the romantic way!) but I cinta this song especially the part “Oh, I still believe in destiny, that anda and I, we’re meant to be”. Well, maybe that’s the very reason. I wish that I’d be able to believe in the romantic-way cinta but I don’t. Anyways, this song makes me happy and I’ve loved it ever since cinderella 3 came out. Beautiful.
