Belle wants an adventure but just sits around reading or singing about it. Pocahontas wants to know what her dream means but doesn't do anything to find out. and so on. And of course Aurora gets "emo"- wouldn't you be sad as well if you just found out your life was a lie, you had a duty thrust on you you never asked for and on top of that you can't be with the guy you like? I think Aurora is the least popular- even less than Snow White- because she is so badly misunderstood. People today like adventurous, outspoken heroines because that's what we've grown up with. Aurora is neither of those. she's shy and doesn't stand up for herself much. since she has less screen time (only about 4 minutes less than Jasmine, btw) people immediately write her off as a plot device or something. Honestly, I find some of the newer ones more bland than her. Maybe I'm biased because I relate to Aurora more but one or two definitely have bland personalities. I kind of like your idea for a sequel though- A REAL sequel, not that mess they gave her before! After she gets started as queen, she's finally allowed to blossom and gain more confidence in herself. Having the pressure of being ruler might be hard on her.

dclairmont Ughh, soooo sick of Aurora hate. It's funny how most people just dismiss her personality, when it's really unique and sweet. I love how her personality is more subdued and it's not very forthcoming. I find it interesting that it has so many layers. Also, Aurora's only there for like 19 minutes, and half of the time she's not even speaking, but in that time we see that she's sweet, imaginative, dreamy, and so much more. Aurora is by far the most hated princess IMHO, because as AudreyFreak said people just dismiss her and misunderstand her. It's really sad....anyway, your articles have all been pretty good, and it's nice hearing another opinion.

MaidofOrleans AudreyFreak pretty much summed it up. There's not much more I can say. I think it's difficult to see her personality because she has so little screen time, but there's no doubt that it's there.

hajirah4 To you, a calm person is boring because they aren't adventurous. But if you are taking these articles seriously, you should know that facts ad info and black and white, and gray allover. Once you look through all the angles and perspectives, you see a world of color. Now,about Aurora. Yeah, she's calm and introverted, but being introverted DOES NOT make you a bland person. She is NOT bland because she's got actual feelings. Yeah, surprise, surprise. She's caring to the fairies, she JUST started taking interest inn a guy, and is forced to marry somebody she doesn't even know after a minute. She's got every right to cry but no, she's bland, and lazy, and emo right, bluethunder25? Rant ended. (Gee, that felt good. I could sing 'I've got the power!' right here.)

snowsowhite I love Aurora she is the most romantic and I think she is the most princess of all the others, what I mean? She is just like the girls and the princesses of those ages, do you think that all the princesses were like Jasmine? No, in all romances that's how princesses are. And Aurora shows us that and the most elegand girl can be a princess, you don't have to be brave like the others, just your self! That's why I love Aurora!

Jayden-G Yeah, agree with what has been said. Even though she is my least favourite, I do see a personality in her. It may not be as bold as Merida or Jasmine, but it is there. I am getting kind of sick of all the "adventurous free-spirits" that has been created by this company time after time again. There are other personalities. You could call her bland, but saying she has no personality is a bit too harsh. There has been a lot of Aurora popularity on here the past few months. I disagree that Aurora is the most disliked princess; that is Merida. She only has a few fans.

snowsowhite I know and in my country I knew her as Sleeping Beauty, not as Aurora, but when I watched the movie I started say her Aurora.

CaiWonderlander I just watched the movie again yesterday, so I could think about what was written here and I have to say that even though she doesn't talk much in the movie, if you listen to what she's singing about and think about what she does even someone with zero IQ could realize she has a wonderful personality just like all the other princesses. They each have something lovely in them.

Jessikaroo The amount of Aurora hate we get on this club makes me want to stab someone with an ice pick. Dear God, you could say these sort of things for any princess. You could complain about Snow White's lack of depth. Or Belle's seeming "lack of flaws." Or how Rapunzel could appear to be a Mary Sue to the untrained eye. But, no. Everyone goes after Aurora, one of the only princesses we have that isn't a "wild free spirit." There are more personality types than that for crying out loud. Jesus, is it so hard to recognize multiple personality types for some people? Are some people that freaking dense?

rhythmicmagic Just some personality traits that come to mind immediately when I think of Aurora: Kindness, philosophical nature, imagination, lack of social skills, shyness, over-emotional, and those are just the ones that leaped to my mind. So, no, Aurora absolutely has a personality.
